… but I loved my flowers nevertheless! They were exactly what I wanted. I had never seen a sample or anything, so they really took my breath away that day!
All photos in post by GB Photographers, Copyright 2007. Please do not take/repost without credit. My own bouquet: creamy tulips, light green, cream and faintest blush roses, white callas with green throats, green hypernicum berries (not really visible in this photo), and beargrass. The stems were wrapped with thick cream satin ribbons, and then accented with twisted gold ribbons on top.
Mr. Plumeria’s boutonniere: a single white/green calla, beargrass loops, green hypericum berries and a bit of pale gold ribbon.
The bridesmaids’ bouquets were very similar to mine, except instead of the cream tulips, they had little yellow blossoms of freesia. Their beargrass loops went around the entire bouquet in a sort of collar, while my own bouquet had the beargrass throughout. My maid of honor’s bouqet had the double cream/gold ribbons that matched my bouquet, and the rest of the girls’ bouquets were tied with pale gold ribbon only. (The groomsmen’s boutonnieres were also yellow freesia.)
My maid of honor’s bouquet, below.
The flowergirl’s pomander was made entirely of small cream and light green rosebuds. Word of warning: these babies are heavy, due to the water in the core! Luckily, it wasn’t too heavy for her to carry, but I can imagine it being so for a younger little one.
A small arrangement behind the unity candle. We reused this one as the centerpiece for our sweetheart table, later on at the reception. For the ceremony, we also had two large arrangements at the front of the church.
And our centerpieces at the reception. I have to admit I didn’t really get a good look at them that day because there was so much going on — but I know they were beautiful and the guests who got to take them home were overjoyed!
I think they were mostly the same flowers as in the bouquets plus some white ornamental lilies, in a heavy, square glass vase.

As to the vendor: I wrote earlier about how my mother-in-law handles much of the floral ordering for Albertson’s/SaveMart’s/Lucky supermarkets in the Northern California region. Thus, we were privileged to work directly with the wholesale floral designer that supplies all of the flowers for the supermarkets for a phenomenal price! The retail stores do have wedding floral catalogs if you go and inquire, so if you are interested in flower options beyond the normal florist, be sure to check out these lesser-known sources… you never know what you could discover!!
Beautiful!!!! Love the flowers!
