The Lily’s Part 6: The Cocktail Hour

September 11th, 2007 @ 4:56 pm by Mrs. Lily

I was on such a roll, but somehow just haven’t managed to put up the last batch of my wedding photos. This is it! The grand finale — if you were wanting more Lily pictures, this will be your last chance, because after this there are no more to share!!! So enjoy our cocktail and reception pictures. :) Most were taken by Sergio, but a few are from friends. Here goes — part 6 is cocktail hour… part 7 is the reception and will follow shortly.

After the ceremony we had a long cocktail hour. My Mom used to ask me what my dream wedding would be like and I always said, “I don’t care if it’s in a barn, as long as there is an open bar so everyone will be drunk, merry, and dance!” As you can see, the wedding was not in a barn (although our rehearsal dinner was!), but my other missions were more than accomplished.

Long story short(ened), below are pics of our cocktail tables. The cocktail hour was on the patio outside. The flowers are big bunches of baby’s breath in metal buckets. The runners are made from extra bridesmaid dress lining I ordered from Netbride (duh, so it matches perfectly — I am that weird).

Looks like the bridal party was the first to make it to the cocktail hour!

Overview of what the cocktail area looked like with everyone there. If you look at the top you can see our little battery powered lanterns. The roof area is where the ceremony was!

In the foyer, we set up lots of photos of us as babies, with our families, and current snaps. There was also a table with place cards, one for signing the guest book, and one for gifts (no pic of the gift table though). Here is the place card table and close ups of the cards (they were fanned out, but looks like people got to the cards before the photographer did…):

Which barn did you have your rehersal dinner in? I am looking for such a place in the Tucson area! Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Jennifer — we had it at the Lazy K Guest Ranch in their big barn (called Stardance Center, I believe). It was AWESOME! Mikki is the coordinator there and she is fantastic. SUper nice, super organized. We had wagon rides and marshmallow roasting… it was perfect!!!! E-mail me if you need more info.

I LOVE the baby’s breath! I had heard of doing that but hadn’t seen it executed so beautifully until now. Great job and I am sure it was a huge savings!

The baby’s breath was quite reasonable, although we only did it outside. Inside flowers to come!
