Last year I blogged about the “Our First Christmas” ornament, and today I was poking around looking for “Our First Home” ornament to purchase this year and noticed Waterford’s new OFC ornament for 2007. Super cute.

Crystal Classics is also having a free special signing of the ornamnet (and any other Waterford purchase you make - toasting flutes wink wink). It will be signed By Jim O’Leary, the design director at Waterford!

Thanks for posting that Mrs. BoP, we were just thinking about that too. We also bought a Christmas ornament from the St. Patrick’s Cathedral gift store just across the street to “remind” us of where we were married.

It’s a tradition of Mil’s. Christmas Eve she gives us all a Christmas ornament that represents something we did that year. Last year she bought us a house ornament. She just writes on it with a sharpie marker ‘06.

ohh, a Cathedral ornament! i hadn’t thought of that. maybe they’ll have ‘06 ones on sale

Have you seen any that aren’t “Our First Christmas” exactly? As this isn’t our first Christmas, we lived together for two Christmases before we were married. It’s our first “married” Christmas. Are there any like that? Or I guess just one with a 2007 on it, or some wedding bells or something. There are a lot that just have the year, right? I’m not so up on these annual ornaments.

technically 06 wasn’t our first xmas together, but our first married one. never thought about that until now. hum.

It was after our first married Christmas, and I saw a special on silver ornaments at the mall.
I realized that we hadn’t done anything special for our “First Christmas”, so I took a look.

One was in shape of a post card. Since that was the style of our save-the-dates and how we let everyone know we were having a blas on our honeymoon, I thought it would cool. I had it engraved with our names and wedding date. It doesn’t actually say “First Christmas”, so it acts more like our wedding ornament. Of course, it wasn’t until the next year that we got to put it up.
