First off, pardon my horrible dieting advice! I obviously am not an expert, and have never counted calories even though I know it’s logical. I used to eat Reeses Pieces first thing in the morning and was infamous in college for hating all fruits and veggies. Eating Cheerios instead of my usual Ben & Jerry’s Coffee Heath Bar Crunch is pretty dang good for me. So please listen to the experts!!
Back to the topic at hand, here are some tips on how to apply false eyelashes….
One way to learn how to do this correctly is simply by trial and error. Try using the same brand on your eyes a few times. You can apply them without the glue, as they should have a sticky residue, so you can check how and where to place them. You should also curl your lashes and put mascara on first - but don’t curl them too much because it’ll be difficult to place the false eyelashes if your real eyelashes are in the way.
As for brands, I’ve seen a few popular ones but these are my favorite:

They’re only $3.37 at your local drugstore! I recommend the ones that have different length lashes, rather than the ones that are all the same length. You can also cut them if they’re too long, but don’t cut them straight - you should cut them zig zagged like the lashes above.
Another tip is to not put the tip of the eyelash on the very inside corner of your eyelid. This causes pinching and you may start tearing. You should be able to flutter your eyelashes, close your eyes very tight and not feel any pain. If you can feel them when you open your eyes, they are not on correctly. You should not be able to feel them at all. Well of course you’ll feel that some foreign object is glued to your eyelid, but after awhile you should forget about them and not be bothered by it.
Remember to only put a small thin layer of glue on the lashes. Put a little bit more glue on the ends, so that your eyelash won’t go flying off the corner. Here’s my favorite lash glue brand, although I do think most of them are pretty much the same:

I was supposed to use my roommate’s computer writing utensil for these diagrams but it’s not available to me right now. So this was all hand drawn on my mouse pad - sorry for the weird drawings!
Here’s the correct way to apply lashes. Place it in the middle of your eye, maybe a little bit closer to the end of your eye. You should put the lashes exactly where you usually put your eyeliner, and then I would go back and re-apply my eyeliner.
(The blue lines are the fake lashes) The red line shows you that the false lashes should be placed right above your real eyelashes.
Here’s the incorrect way. If you put the lashes too high above your natural eyelashes, you’ll create a Plastic Doll look.
example:

Again, here’s another attempt to draw the correct way. Your eyelashes should be sticking up naturally in the same way your real lashes do.
Hopefully this helps a little bit! I recommend strip lashes instead of the individual ones, mostly because you don’t want little pieces falling all over the place. With one strip, if the entire thing falls off, at least your one eye will look normal. Also, if your false eyelashes are being a serious pain, you can usually strip them off easily without a mirror.
I wouldn’t recommend applying multiple false lashes unless you’re pretty comfortable applying and wearing them. Make sure that each eyelash set is different - you don’t want to layer on the same exact ones.
Anyone have any questions? Maybe sometime later I can do a real life picture example!
Oh… and make sure you don’t end up looking like this! (unless you really want to
