Teach/Coach @ private schools in LA Engagement Date: March 31, 2006 Wedding Date: November 3, 2007 Venue: Radisson Hotel About Me: I'm a bookkeeper who failed high school algebra. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, literally a street over from where I grew up with Mr. Kiwi, my honey of three years. We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!

New Centerpiece Look!

September 19th, 2007 @ 11:59 am by Mrs. Kiwi

Sorry I was MIA yesterday, it was one of those days that is packed with drama- no internet access at work (gasp!), a tasting at 2pm, a long walk home… you get the point.

Anyway, I took the advice of Tanya, and decided to mix around the centerpiece a bit. Now we’re using the ribbon as a band on the vase, with a leaf covering the area where the ends meet.

Here’s a pic

There would be more darling little gems, but Mr. Kiwi tipped over the vase in the car and all of them fell out. :)

I got a tub of leaves from CVS drugstores for like, 1.99! In the vase there are also mini pinecones and other crap that fell off a tree.

Anyway, I just wanted to update you guys on the centerpiece deets. Thanks for the idea Tanya! We’re going to be getting the votives soon, too, in the amber color, since the table lines will be all ivory, adding a bit of warmth.

What kind of glue/tape did you use to close the ribbon and add the leaves. I am also doing an idea like this.

Marcus bride, I used the “glue dots” from Office Depot. I think you can get them at any paper stores or craft place.

Cathleya, we’re having 15 tables so far. :) RSVP list is stagnant, people aren’t RSVPing.
