About An Indian Girl and a Pakistani Boy

Picture of Mr. Jasmine and I during our first year of law school (those are some of our crazy dance moves!)

Hi everyone! I’m thrilled to join the Wedding Bee community. I’ve been reading Wedding Bee since I got engaged in March and I’m so honored to be a Bee.

Mr. Jasmine and I met while we were first year law students. He says that he first noticed me during orientation. He claims he saw me from the side and thought, “Hey, she’s cute!” Well, until I turned all the way around and he was nearly blinded by the cornea-searing, very sparkly necklace I was wearing. Needless to say, that necklace is now relegated to the bottom of my jewelry box.

I first noticed Mr. Jasmine when I was standing in line for football tickets (we went to law school at a big football school). He was at the front of the line and I was at the back. I thought to myself, “Isn’t that guy at the front of the line in my law school class? He’s cute! A little harmless flirting could get me to the front of this line!” I quickly abandoned the idea (who wants to be the class tartlet?) and maintained my position at the back of the line.

Soon enough, we finally met and became fast friends. Effortless conversations, numerous laughs, and loads of chemistry quickly turned our friendship into a strong, happy relationship. Four years later, we’re engaged and so excited to be married!

Of course, it wasn’t as easy as I’m making it sound. He’s a boy, and as you all know, they’re experts at inventing new and creative ways to frustrate and agitate innocent girls. But that’s for another post! :) In the meantime, I look forward to sharing the next nine months of my engagement with all of you!

Miss Jasmine, so excited to hear about your planning. And I’m half-Pakistani, so I’m especially interested to hear about which cultural customs you and Mr. Jasmine will have in your wedding. :) Congratulations!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Miss Kiwi– it really does look like we’re doing the electric slide! But strangely enough, we aren’t even on the dance floor in that picture. We’re just doing our own dance on the carpet, being our kooky selves :)
