I’ve already shared my friend Hee Won’s engagement ring, her engagement pics, and the video of Peter serenading her, so now it’s finally time to share some pictures of their wedding day!
The wedding was held at the beautiful Greystone Mansion and Park. Though Greystone’s zip code is 90210, it’s a public park so rental fees are surprisingly affordable.

It was a gorgeous, perfect summer day for a wedding. Iced tea, cucumber water, and pink lemonade were available for guests pre-ceremony.
These fan programs really came in handy to fan and shield ourselves from the sun.
Elderly guests sat under large umbrellas placed in between the ceremony seats.

If I remember correctly, her beautiful mermaid shaped dress is from Jim Hjelm.
Candles are not allowed at the venue, so they performed a sand ceremony instead.
A very, very long first kiss!
Bowing to the guests. It was a wonderful half Korean, half English ceremony officiated by our childhood pastor (I met Hee Won at church over 15 years ago).
Our pastor gifted Hee Won and Peter a bible engraved with their names, that was used for the first time during their wedding ceremony. It was a very sweet moment.
Bubbles!
But they were smart and had Hogan ready with a bubble blowing machine to ensure there were bubbles galore!
Close-up of the ceremony centerpieces…
The happy couple - finally husband and wife!
The grounds were stunning with sweeping views of Los Angeles…
There was even a fountain with tons of turtles and koi fish!
The reception area
Bag for the candy buffet…
Which was pillaged in 5 minutes before I even had a chance to take a picture. Candy buffets are still very hot!

The centerpieces with tables named after wineries in Napa Valley (where they took their engagement pics).
One of the cards for the wish bowl.
Traditional Korean paebaek.
The bridesmaids (missing is Hee Won’s younger sister), wearing custom-made bridesmaids dresses. There are seamstresses in Koreatown that’ll custom make a dress for you, but you have to allow them to keep it after the wedding so they can rent it out. Cost: $140 including alterations.
The infamous serenade
The four of us all attended the same church for many many years. Yes I used to be a (somewhat) nice church going girl!
And I had no time to shop so I wore the same dress that I wore to Mr. Monkey’s wedding the week before. ![]()
At the after party - Hee Won bought this BCBG dress on sale (the last one!) after reading Miss Eggplant’s post on it.
Finally this was part of my gift to them. They’re both huge wine drinkers, so I picked three great bottles of wine and made labels with the dates of their 1 month, 6 month, and 1 year anniversary (an idea I totally jacked from Mrs. Raspberry!).

Congratulations Hee Won and Peter! You guys are meant to bee. I love you guys! ![]()
