Our Very Pink Shower

September 24th, 2007 @ 5:46 pm by Mrs. Jelly Beans

Family and friends’ reactions as they came in. “Wow! Everything’s sooo pink” Ummmm, Hi Hello I am Miss Jelly Beans. I take it we haven’t met before. :)

We (Miss Jelly Beans and her two best friends) bought three different shades of roses from Costco. And then we hit the jackpot and found an amazing deal on the vintage urns at the dollar store. Now you have the makings of an easy DIY and pretty centerpiece. We placed them in trios all over the house. I loved how they turned out.

We placed fresh raspberries in wine glasses simply because we can! :)

Of course the plates, cutlery and cups were pink! I stamped our pink napkins with cute wedding stamps that I purchased from Michaels. Brown ink of course. :)

The food you are seeing on the tables are products of our own blood, sweat and tears. Ok, so I am totally lying. Thank you Costco and the companies that manufacture all things ready-to-serve in less than 25 minutes. God love them!

And for the grand finale!!! Pink almond jello. Brilliant idea mom!

Please pardon the ghetto fabulous look I have going on. In the pursuit of the perfect pink shower I neglected to pay attention to some of the minor details such as my hair and make up.

Everything looks great - but, hey, I’m a huge fan of pink too! I just finished my peachy-pink invites to my wedding. I think too much of the same shade would be overload. But, when you mix various shades of pink it looks a lot more sophisticated. I hope you had fun!

Sarah- Almond jello does come in a mix. Thank goodness. We then added a smidgen of red food coloring to make it the pretty in pink :)
