We’re Back And Oh, The Mess!

We came back a few days ago to a wrecked house and (thanks to an infestation of pantry moths a few days before the wedding) no food. Our luggage and unopened gifts turned our living room into a pond of stuff, more fit for wading than walking through.

Still, it was a relief to be back and sleeping in our own bed. It was an even bigger relief to have a pile of unopened gifts waiting for us at 5:30 in the morning when jet-lag left us unable to do anything but toss and turn. One of the best so far has been a family genealogy where Mr. Lollipop’s relatives thoughtfully added me to the family tree. Aww!

Our professional pictures should be ready soon as will my recaps of our honeymoon destinations, Bali and Hong Kong. Whee!

Ugh! Pantry moths are the worst. I had those once and it was such a pain.

I can’t wait to hear about your wedding and honeymoon! Welcome back :)

Welcome home!

When we returned, the only things in our fridge were my bouquet and a ton of leftover chocolate cake from the wedding.

The bouquet looked beautiful, but we decided to eat the cake. :)

Actually, I don’t know how we would have survived if it hadn’t been for my MIL. We were exhausted from our honeymoon and when we got back, she had cleaned the house like mad.

So, maybe that’s something else brides should plan….having someone they know and love clean up the post-planning, pre-wedding disaster that seems creep up on us. Oh, and have them make something edible ahead of time that’s ready to go in the oven when the honeymooners get back.

Wow — your living room is even worse than ours! Haha. We got back late on Saturday night and I’m catching up on blogging instead of cleaning — BAD Mrs. Onion. Wait — work? I almost forgot about that.

Congrats!!
I had to laugh when I saw your photo because our place looks like that (maybe a degree better) every day except for once or twice a year when we marathon clean.

Oh I can’t wait! We’re going to Bali and Singapore!

Hahah! Your living room is what one of my guest bedrooms looks like! :)
