A Lot Of Spooning Going On…

September 25th, 2007 @ 6:55 pm by Mrs. Onion

No no — not that kind of spooning — heads out of the clouds ladies! I mean good old fashioned spoons on your nose! Our rehearsal dinner was held the night before the wedding at Taste of Burlington overlooking Lake Champlain. The weather was perfect and we dined on the patio and watched the sun set.

Suddenly I heard everyone burst into uncontrollable laughter. I turned around and saw this:

Looks like people were having a great time at the rehearsal dinner! It couldn’t have been all the wine, could it? Apparently it started with me at a young age:

The rehearsal dinner went quite well even with a few bumps along the way. The executive chef is a great guy and quite a good chef, but not a fantastic manager. I was not informed until two days before that there would be another rehearsal dinner going on for 40 people inside, which meant we had to be on the patio. It worked out, but if it had rained it would have been a huge disappointment. Our guests had no idea so it worked out, but it was unnecessary last minute stress for me. If we were the only event that night I’m sure it would have been smooth sailing!

Wow! Looks like a great time!

And oh my goodness, you look just the same as you did when you were little! From what I can tell with a spoon on your nose… but really! I think it’s your eyes. :)

I’d just like to correct this misinformation…

I was not informed until two days before that there would be another rehearsal dinner going on for 40 people inside, which meant we had to be on the patio.

I notified your groom 2 WEEKS before your event (when he first informed me that your guest list had grown to 40 from the agreed upon and contracted 30) that your seating arrangements would require restructuring- I have the dated emails… As far as letting you know about another party in the restaurant- As we discussed previously, those seats would have been booked regardless of the size of the party- I chose to take another large group because it facilitated better and more efficient service for all… It’s easier to serve 2 large groups as opposed to one large group and 15 smaller tables that are all on a different time schedule.
