Our Wonderful Wedding Party

I’m the type of person that hates to ask for help. My reasoning, as much as I know my friends are more than willing to help me in a bind, I hate to trouble people. I am more than happy to help my friends but I feel uncomfortable asking. This is not to say that I’ve never asked for help, I just try to ask only when I really need it. blush02 And if I do ask, I say please please please a million times and thank you a million times afterwards because I am very appreciative of any little thing anyone does for me, I like to go out of my way to let them I’m grateful.

In choosing the members of our wedding party, Mr. CB struggled a little more than me. He has a close knit group of about 10+ guys in his group and narrowing it down to four was extremely difficult. I have the best girlfriends a girl can ask for and who I might ask was a no brainer, it was how to ask them was what I was struggling with.

It was really important for us to choose people that have been there for us and would be of great support and help throughout the wedding process. These are very special people to us that we couldn’t imagine not standing up there with us as we joined in marriage. Wedding planning isn’t always easy, and it is of great importance that we had people that we hoped would enjoy the process with us and help us if the need came to be. Being a part of the wedding party is not an easy task because they have to take time out of their busy lives to do wedding things with us like getting their attire, planning bridal showers, bachelor parties, or just being a part of our two day wedding, etc.

Therefore, from the beginning, we wanted to show them how grateful and appreciative we were by making the process of asking them an experience. Here is a look at the cards we made for our wedding party when we asked them to be a part of our wedding.

What special ways did you ask your wedding party? What was most important to you in your selection for your wedding party?

Those are wonderful! Anyone who receives those is going to feel very special for being asked. Great job!

I don’t have a lot of girl friends (not the kind I go do girly fun stuff with), so when it came to choose someone to stand beside me, I went with my younger bonus (very cool step) sister. She has known me since I was fifteen, and we shared some pretty cool life moments together. I’m glad we got to share this one too.

#1 consideration — Who would I still know and be close to in 50 years no matter what? Answer: Our sisters! Made it very easy.

I called my bridesmaids to ask them.

That’s HUGE. I never call anyone. I send birthday emails.
