Oh The Places We’ll Go, Part 2

September 27th, 2007 @ 12:01 pm by Ms. Dahlia

Part 1

So in scanning the globe, I came across an amazing place. ::drumroll::

I present to you Option 1: Amuleto.

High up on the cliffs overlooking Zihuatanejo Bay, Amuleto seemed like the perfect place to get away from it all and relish in being married. With solid tripadvisor ratings, it seemed perfect. Pricey, at about $400 USD/night, not counting tax and gratuity, but it looks perfect. Consider one of the main suites:

Complete with hammock

And private plunge pool!

And for a bit more, you could stay in the Palapa suite, which has a unique indoor/outdoor feel to it. Like living in the rainforest with luxury accommodations.

Just check out the shower!

Unfortunately, when I proposed this place, Mr. Dahlia vetoed it on the argument that he doesn’t want to go to Mexico, and the lack of a nearby bustling metropolis. So I went back to the internet, and continued the search…

Oh my goodness, how beautiful! We’ve been talking about honeymooning in Mexico or an island in the Carribean anyway, so I am proposing this to ChicagoSteve asap! Thank you for sharing your fantastic find.

Are those prices for real!? A $90 club sandwich? A $38 cappuccino? Not to mention the actual FOOD. Absurd!!

Uh, girlies, I think those prices are in pesos.

BA says:

Oh sheesh! That makes so much more sense. I think I was confused because the room rates were in USD. Thank rzblna! :-)

I stayed at Amuleto for a long weekend. I is hands down the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. The photos do not even come close to doing it justice. The downside for a honeymoon though - there is very little to do in Zihuatenajo so if you are there for more than 3 or 4 days you will probably get a little bored. Go for your one year anniversary!!
