About Mrs. Bell Pepper

Life on Prints Photography has featured a lot of interesting and unique wedding venues in the Chicagoland area. The most recent wedding was at the Chicago Cultural Center, perhaps one of my favorite venues in the city. Check out the gorgeous Tiffany mosaic dome ceilings and the cute wedding cake designed by Amy Beck Cake Designs.

Yay! I love seeing pictures of Cafe Brauer (my venue). There are a lot of beautiful and unique places in Chicago to get married. I am partial to my photographer (Thorsen Photography), but LOP is really good.

This is smart…having photographry reveiws of local venues. Who would know better?

I think a lot can be said for getting a vendor’s opinion on certain wedding details. When we had to move our ceremony indoors because of the rain, we asked what would be best for our photographer/videographer. They found a great way to arrange the alter that would look great on film AND work for our guests.

Speaking of Woodstock Opera House, there are a lot of very fine jewelbox theatres in Illinois that would be totally cool wedding sites. The Arcada in St. Charles has been nicely restored…

…and despite its terribly drab website, the Sandwich Opera House is another cute little historic theatre…

The one caution with Sandwich is the utter lack of hotels nearby. It’s a nice escape from Chicago, but yikes, if you’ve got people from out of town, not so much.

Here’s more on the Woodstock Opera House, as seen in “Groundhog Day.”

Check out the virtual tours!
