As I’m sure many of you are aware, October 1st kicks off the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

One of the many wonderful organizations that supports the cause is Brides Against Breast Cancer, which takes proceeds from selling donated wedding gowns to help grant wishes to women with terminally ill breast cancer.

Last year Mrs. Ant and I volunteered at the New York event.  We saw many brides find “the dress”, and felt so lucky to be a part of those special moments. We’ll be there again this Thursday, so if you haven’t yet purchased your dress, this is a great opportunity to purchase a designer dress at well below cost while contributing to a fantastic cause.  Many of the dresses are brand new!

But is there a good selection you ask?  Yes!  Mrs. Ant tried on an Angel Sanchez and I tried on an Amsale for fun at the end of the night  - both were dresses we had loved while we were shopping for our own dresses.  There was a big variety of designers including Jenny Yoo, Anne Barge, and more.

When: October 4, 6:30 - 9 pm

What: $200 will get you admission for one shopper and a guest, cocktails, and a bag of goodies from Ralph Lauren, Hanky Panky, Godiva, and Target worth more than $500.  You’ll also be automatically entered into a drawing to win a $6000 honeymoon to Maui.

General Sale

When: October 5 & 6, 9 am - 7pm

What: A $20 ticket will admit you and a guest for 2 hours of shopping.  A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
