There are so many details of my wedding that I still have to blog about and never enough time. One of the most wonderful is the jewelry designer who designed and created all of my wedding jewelry: Tobie Bloom. She created our wedding bands, my wedding necklaces, my earrings, and necklaces for all the bridesmaids. We wanted the best quality for eveything, but really shopped around to find someone who would do an excellent job and not gauge us on the price.
Tobie was AMAZING. Did I say amazing? I mean SUPER-AMAZING. You can currently find her work in select Saks 5th Avenue stores, SoHo Gems in NYC, and Joe Brand in Texas, among others. She also has a studio in LA’s jewelry district where she sees clients and all the glittery magic takes place. Oooh, and she was in In Style (Cameron Diaz was wearing her earrings) and People magazine (Vivica Fox was wearing a necklace).
I just adored her — down to earth, makes awesome stuff, and doesn’t charge you what you think she would for the best quality diamonds and craftsmanship. This will have to be a two part blog (at least!) because she is currently putting together a website and I will want to share it. Also, because I don’t have pictures of the bridesmaids necklaces at the moment… and lastly, because she is making a gorgeous tourmaline cocktail ring for me for my birthday — from who else??? Mr. Lily! It should arrive this week!
The best way to contact her now is by phone: 213-622-6436. You could also try her current e-mail tobiebloom@gmail.com but she does not use e-mail often. She is very prompt with phone calls though.
On that note, here are some pictures I wrangled out of her to share. These are just wedding bands, but she does incredible work on engagement rings, including taking a stone you already have and designing a custom setting.

Aren’t these to die for? I just love the one with the little drop. I think it would be adorable if you planned to wear just a band and no engagement ring!

I love these stackables not just for wedding bands! I could totally see a colored band in between two plain ones. Or, my friend Diana has one that has the diamonds and the sapphires that she wears as her wedding band with her engagement diamond.

I heart the mini flowers. They are precious!
I will do a second post with more pretty stuff soon. Don’t y’all love looking at shiny stuff???
