Some pictures of Carrie in a wedding dress have surfaced today and not everyone is feelin’ the ensemble. I personally think it is perfect! Carrie is, and always has been, about taking risks with fashion - why would she throw out that philosophy on the most important fashion day of her life?
Patricia Field is a genius and I, for one, am glad that they are staying true to who Carrie is, especially on her wedding day. Now, the fact that she is getting married at all is a different issue… I was always of the opinion that Carrie was that wild horse who couldn’t be tamed (Remember? From the episode where Big and Natasha have their engagement party?) Anyway, here are some pictures of Carrie and the girls. What do you all think? I love the peacock feather! What do you think about the long stems on her bouquet?

I love, love love Miranda’s dress (it looks so awesome with her hair) - I am so not digging Charlotte’s though…lol
I think the peacock flower is a little startling at first - but I agree with you, it is so Carrie - and I am so happy her and Big are finally getting it together 
I agree that Carrie’s ensemble, while perhaps somewhat overwhelming (big dress, big veil, big flowers) seems right for her character. It’s the other three dresses that don’t seem right to me! What on earth is Charlotte wearing??? For a character who’s usually so prim and classic-looking, why is she wearing a witch’s costume? It’s a cool dress, but more appropriate for Angelina Jolie. Miranda looks too frilly, too bright, and just uncomfortable in her dress, and while Samantha’s is the best of the three, why would she be wearing flats?
I almost hyperventilated when I saw these pictures on People.com this morning. Carrie getting married?? Is it to Big?? I don’t know how I can wait until May for these answers.
Anyway, I think Carrie looks fabulous. Initially, I was a little wtf with the peacock feather, but it really is true to her slightly kooky, always fashion forward sense of style. The dress is to die for. I love all the girls’ dresses actually. They all have the same dramatic, ruffled, almost Spanish theme.
i’m not feeling the dresses at all. i thought she liked them. why would she make them wear that? lol. i think carrie’s dress is just too big…it would look great on a smaller scale but it looks like it’s wearing her instead of the other way around.
The thing around Charlotte’s leg is her microphone pack– no worries, Charlotte did not turn into an alcoholic!
I love it all. Suits Carrie’s eclectic style to a T. None of it is for the faint of heart. I cannot wait until this movie comes out!
I am so psyched about the movie! Personally, I love her gown! It definitely carries her style over from the tv show.
I love Charlotte’s dress but not sure how I feel about the others. Kinda thinking that I would have liked them more if they had all been in the same color family. Different styles are great…just not so keen on the different colors.
LOVE CARRIE! her bouquet reminds me of mine- long stems with fluffy white peonies!

About Charlotte’s ankle- I think it’s a mic pack, but it does look like a monitoring anklet!!
I refuse to believe that this is the wedding… I think its a nightmare Carrie has!
It just too much. I love the big bouquet though. I’m also kind of enjoying the feather. The dress is just overwhelming (I also think the sizing is off). Charlotte would NEVER wear that out in public. Samantha doesn’t do flats or flowers.

How come all their dresses are so over the top? lol. Isn’t Charlotte usually the one who looks classic/elegant? And I think you’re right, Carrie’s wedding dress would have to be kind of over-the-top given her character. I can’t wait for the movie to come out! =)
My Fave character has always been Charlotte….her dress looks wierd and Carrie’s wedding dress really suits her character. I can’t wait until the movie.
I think Carrie looks fabulous! I wish I could rock the peacock feather in the hair. She could use a little tailoring in the bust though!

Miranda’s dress is the best of the four by far. Really, really, really far. I mean football field length far.
While Samantha’s dress seems to have an interesting cut and detail sim. to Miranda’s, the fabric hugs her legs and frankly I thought she was wearing a hideous pantsuit! Charlotte’s dress is rather unusual. Say, perhaps perfect for a flamenco dancer attending a funeral? She is a trim girl but the dress is simply not flattering on her figure.
Carrie’s peacock feather I can handle, the flowers are lovely. She looks straight off the runway. The style is simply overpowering for a woman who is
105 lbs soaking wet.
Me thinking I’m not getting an invite to the premiere after sharing my thoughts…

I’m blown away by Charlotte’s look. It’s FABULOUS! I don’t think it’s so far off because it’s very feminine - but edgy. While Charlotte stays classic most of the time, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t keep her trends in line and she DEFINITELY looks glamorous. Can I have this in white please?
And Carrie’s teal dyed feather - is SOOO very her. I agree with you, this is true to her character and I’d have it no other way!
Miranda’s vivid blue looks fantastic with her complementary hair color. I don’t think she looks uncomfortable - I think she looks quite the opposite!
But Samantha in flats? In THAT dress?? Blasphemy.
I agree with JordyPants. I have seen another spoiler that makes me think this is a dream.
I like the idea behind the dress, but HATE the fit of the bodice on Carrie. Girlfriend needs to get to the tailor or a serious push-up bra - it is so unflattering in the chest.
it has to be a dream! i’m rooting for a wedding but it’s too over the top-especially for charlotte!
I assume that - as with a real wedding - Carrie would have chosen the bridesmaids’ dresses? Hence the outrageousness…
I love, love SATC but was so disappointed by the last episode. Carrie really was supposed to be the one that can never be tamed… and men like Big never change! (Talk about setting up all of us viewers out there subconsciously thinking, “Maybe that non-committal guy will change… some day…” But in real life it doesn’t happen.) So disappointing!
Anyway, the dress is quite Carrie over-the-top but I also love the suggestion that perhaps this is her nightmare.

Ugh…….what were they thinking? I mean, kudos for having the bridesmaids (I assume) in different colors and dresses but I think they all look pretty awful. Poor Charlotte’s butt looks huge, Samantha looks like a flamenco dancer in drag, and Miranda looks like some kind of ruffly hoe-down drag queen in chiffon. Carrie’s dress is gorgeous but her chest is too bony to pull off the dramatic neckline and she looks like she’s getting swallowed up in it. I’m not too sure about the teal feather, but in true Carrie style there’s always at least one thing that seems a little off but it so ‘her’. The long bouquet stems are rockin’. I’m with JordyPants and am hoping this is a dream sequence. I can’t wait to see the movie!!
Yeah, Charlotte’s dress doesn’t look at ALL like something she would wear, and I don’t think Miranda’s is very realistic, either. (We just watched the episode with her wedding in it again - she’s wearing a very simple dress.) And Samantha’s dress is a lot frumpier than I would imagine from her.
I love LOVE Miranda’s dress - it looks so fab w/ her hair!!! the one thing i don’t like about Carrie’s dress is her bust area..it doesn’t look right on her..and when did Charlotte become the dark princess?

i have this strange strange feeling that Carrie isn’t going to get married this easily… 
on carrie’s dress… there is a picture somewhere on the web flying about with her bending down… and the dress does her no good.
No no no no no no no no NO!!!! That dress is awful! She looks like she’s being swallowed by a cream cake. It’s so hideously unflattering and is about 4 sizes too big. Why why why??????
I too hope it is a dream/nightmare. But I do hope Carrie and Big get married, just that she wears something that doesn’t make me feel nauseous!
The other’s all look pretty awful too, Miranda in girly flouncy chiffon? I don’t think so. I like Samantha’s dress, somehow I don’t think it’s a still from the movie but a snap of her walking round the set, in comfortable shoes!

I think Samantha is wearing flats because I read somewhere else that these shots were taken during a break on set. Don’t worry! I’m sure she’s wearing some fab heels for the real thing!!
this is totally a dream sequence or something. none of the girls look fabulous…especially carrie. they painted age spots on her for christ sake. you guys, this is not Carrie’s wedding to big, it’s a dream. seriously. everyone looks hideous.

I actually love that first shot of Carrie. Its just so… Carrie! But I agree, the second pic obviously shows its not so flattering on her chest.

the dresses are definitely different, but did you know that sjp (in real life) got married in a black dress?!
i was really surprised, but maybe her style choices have influenced carrie’s? the movie should be lots of fun, looking forward to it

I had only seen the unflattering pics on Perez Hilton, but after seeing these pics I’m kind of liking the dress. Charlotte’s look wouldn’t be so bad if she didn’t have that choker on.
I saw these pics on another blog. Is it just me or does all these picture leaks look a bit fishy? I think that the production is pulling a fast one on the media and making us believe that Carrie is going to get married to Big so that they can hide the real ending. Remember right before the series finale that had 3 different endings floating around so the real ending wouldn’t be leaked. They are not that stupid and I don’t believe anything Perez Hilton has to say. Yeah Fidel Castro is dead my booty.
I love Carrie’s dress…I think it fits her character perfectly, especially the feather in her hair. But I agree with the previous poster…this leak seems a bit fishy. We could see something else entirely different in the movie. I love a surprise!
for all you satc stalkers out there in new york….filming at the new york public library next week! doesn’t look like they’re getting married there but you never know!
