About Mrs. Peppermint

The bridesmaids dresses are in and there’s one major question that needs to be answered: Should they wear a sash??

I must preface this with the fact that I’m generally not into the sash. However, it can bring the outfit together and break up the solid color. You may remember my sample ribbon was black. When my BM’s picked up the dresses it came with a mocha sash. I don’t really mind, though it would depend on what Mr. Peppermint and the groomsmen choose to wear. So, for the time being, ignore the mocha…

So, here is the dress (with sash):

Here, my lovely sister and MOH models the dress with and without a sash…

So, what’s the verdict? Thumbs up or down on the sash?

I vote for sash, but maybe because I’m a sucker for brown and pink.

Two thumbs down on the sash! I like the extra pop of color but with the waist band being so wide and the ribbon being so thin, I just dont like it. Maybe a wider ribbon????

I vote no sash.
Unless you get a wider one…

I like the sash. I think it defines the waist more and also makes her look taller.

I vote no sash. It seems like an afterthought.

I vote sash, but definitely a meatier sash. This one seems too flimsy for such a gorgeous dress.

I usually endorse sashes at any opportunity- but not this one and not on this dress! The thin sash and the rushed wide waist band look mismatched. I like the dress better without the ribbon.

I like the sash, but agree with the previous posters that it should be wider. I think it ties in the shoes nicely (if she’ll be wearing the same shoes as in the photo). If not, maybe no sash. The ruched waistband is plenty interesting as it is already.

hy i do like the pop of color, i don’t think it is necesssary. in the Vera sampleit is defining the waist, but in the dress youhvae chosen the waist is well defined by the wide gathered waist on the dress, no ribbon necessary..

I vote for the sash as well. It makes her waist more defined.

No sash. perhaps a wider sash would look better but it’s a lovely dress that doesn’t really need it.
BTW, I’m going through the same thing with my bridesmaids too. They want the sash, I don’t!

No sash unless you get a wider one. The one you have now is too thin!

With the sash for sure. Either brown or black.

Thumbs up. It makes it more interesting, catches the eye, and defines the waist.

I like the sash. Not only does it define the waist, it also ties in the shoe color, which is very important.
I think the thin is fine as long as it falls at the very bottom of the wide gathered waist

No sash, I think it cuts people up visually.
