Modern Bride is hosting a contest looking for current and former bridesmaids to tell them what’s great (or not!) about being a bridesmaid. The winner will have their entry published in a future issue of Modern Bride and win a trip to the world premiere of 27 Dresses as the guest of Editor-in-Chief Antonia van der Meer. The winner will also have their hair, makeup, and gown styled, and have their photo taken with Katherine Heigl.
Since the movie 27 dresses is about being a bridesmaid 27 times, let’s find out how many times you’ve been a bridesmaid! If you’ve been a bridesmaid more than 9 times

ok hah, i guess its not. (i should read before i post.)
Okay, Love Katherine Heigl, the trailer looks fab, and I can’t wait until the movie comes out! And never been a bridesmaid! I’ve been fired from the position, but nope- never made it. 
looks like the record is 6 so far. i’ve only been a bridesmaid once.
6! But I retired as a bridesmaid and vowed that I will do it for my sister when she gets married.
Wow, I’ve been a bridesmaid 6 times, but I’ve also been a flowergirl 3 times when I was younger! I’m a twin so everyone wanted my sister and I in their wedding when we were little.
Out of those 6 I’ve been the MOH twice! I’m a totaly expert on weddings now!
I’ve been to Vegas 6 times for 6 different bachelorette parties! I’ve been to other places too for bachelorette parties I wasn’t in.
I’m the 2nd to last of my friends to get married so needless to say we are NOT going to Vegas for my bachelorette party! Sigh…
I do should enter this contest huh!
I think I win so far. I have been in 7 weddings–three times a MOH. My own makes 8 and being a reader in Mrs. Strawberry’s wedding makes 9 if you want to count those.
And I have all the dresses, still…minus the one that fell apart during the reception (literally, and the other BM’s dresses did, too! Bad fabric).
Never a bridesmaid, but I was a flowergirl four times as a child.
I’ll be in my 10th wedding as a bridesmaid on January 2008! Up until five years ago, I saved every one of my bm dresses, hoping that when I got married, I’d throw a party for all my friends and have them wear the dress they made me wear. It would be so much fun because they are in great eighties and nineties styles with either big puffy sleeves and large bows on the butt, or huge pleated off the shoulder collars like flightless wings. Groovy colors, too. Two of the dresses had sheer waist length matching shawls that you wore over strappy sheaths. Great hairstyles to match. Good times. I just recently threw them away to make space in the closets. Must have been jinxing me…now, I’m soon to be engaged! Fun topic!
I also had my big, crispy permed hair catch on fire when it got stuck on a candelabra on the alter and I pulled it on top of me when walking away. BM behind me hit me on top of the head to put it out and we carried on with the rest of the wedding without much ado! hair was only cinged a bit. good times!
I’ll be a BM for the 8th time in March 2008. I can honestly say that I haven’t worn any of the BM dresses again despite every attempt to have us wear something “wearable” again. 
i’ve been a bridesmaid 5 times…and i’m only 24 yrs old. my coworker, however, has been a bridesmaid 12 times. and my boss…19 times! (my boss is in her early 50s now though.)

Currently, I have been in 10 weddings and I am in 2 more weddings this summer (2 weeks apart from one another!!!!) I have also been to 65 weddings in the past 5 years….I am a professional now. I know so many vendors and great ideas from everything I have seen. I think I will only be in 3 more weddings but you never know what might pop up. I am still not engaged but that is alright, it is too trendy to get married right now…LOL!
