I’d heard so many great things about the Eva Scrivo Salon, and since it’s in my neighborhood, I finally went in for a haircut a couple weeks ago.

I have a really chubby round face, so I just told my stylist Donna ”don’t make my head look big.” She cut off a good 5 inches so that it was just past my shoulders and gave me side swept bangs. It took a little time to get used to because I’ve had boring, long, parted in the center hair forever, but it’s grown on me and really is the best cut I’ve ever had (it looked better when she styled it because I’m not very good with hair).
I also highly recommend my fantabulous colorist Paul Cucinello who’s at the new Chris Chase Salon. He was previously named best colorist by New York Magazine, and is one of the nicest guys around. He gives you the most natural looking color and highlights - even Donna at Eva Scrivo said he did a fantastic job (ignore the 2 inches of root growth in these pics).
Donna and Paul are both super talented, and I definitely recommend them for amazing pre-wedding cut and color!

I freaking love my hair stylist. I used to live in Chicago, and my fiance lived in small-town Wisconsin. I got so fed up with my haircuts in the city that I started going to his hair gal (he’d just been going to the salon his mom goes to, which is hilarious enough). So now he and I have the same hairdresser! She does AMAZING work and I get compliments from strangers all. the. time. on my haircuts! (Which is a huge ego boost :)) The best part is that the small-town haircut comes with a small-town price: $22 + tip if you come in with already-washed hair. She is a GEM!
