I had a small family shower and my cousin was asking if there was anything at all she could make. I told her not to worry about it, but she insisted on helping out. So I gave it some thought. I reflected on her yummy chocolate covered cherries and her pecan pralines, and then it hit me. A bride cake!! I had more than my share of Barbie cakes as a child. I must have asked for one nearly every year. I thought it was so cool to have a 3-D cake in the shape of a dress! What better time to have a bride cake if not for my bridal shower? She loved the idea and was thrilled to make it for me, and I think it turned out so cute!

That’s a lot cuter than the ones I’ve seen in stores. Makes me want one. 
I must be one of the few souls who have never had a doll cake. It’s never too late, right?

i saw one at a kroger once and it reminded me of the whipped cream bikini in varsity blues…not exactly what you want to be plunking down in front of a little girl.
this however looks TONS better. i like this!
My mom made me princess doll cakes in a different colored dress for as long as I can remember for my birthdays. She surprsised me at my family shower by making me my bride cake. So sweet!!
