It started with the lighting of candles…
Our moms lit two tapers surrounding the unity candle.
And then close family members and the bridal party walked down the aisle…

Our pastor’s “trademark” - during the message, he turns the couple around to face the congregation.

Vows and rings… I lost it at this point. Luckily, I had tissue hidden in my bouquet. Unluckily, I forgot about it and proceeded to smear my tears around my face with my fingers instead.
Of course, at that point, melting makeup and the like didn’t matter a bit… I was just overwhelmed with happiness.

We gave flowers to our moms before lighting the unity candle together. I think this part was by far the most memorable for me — we chose a song we both love and deeply relate to, so in the brief moment after we had lit the candle and stood by it quietly watching it grow brighter, we were both singing along quietly, in our own moment.

The kiss! I embarrassed myself by making a weird noise like a stifled laugh when Mr. Plumeria pulled back the veil, and everyone burst out laughing, including us. It was a good thing though, because I think we were a little nervous about this moment anyway.

Married!!
