Boards and Classifieds Links

Notice anything different? We’re trying out a slightly tweaked site design! 
The Weddingbee Boards and Classifieds have been some of our most popular features in recent memory. There are so many great posts in there, we want to feature them more prominently on the main page… so we made two slight changes:
- We added Board and Classifieds links in the right column. To fit them in, we had to make the right column a bit wider.
- We also swapped in a shorter Rectangle ad in the upper right instead of the taller Skyscraper ad. That way, the ad isn’t so tall, so you can actually see the Boards and Classifieds links…
At first the tweaks were a bit of a shock… but now I really like being able to see the most recent Boards and Classifieds posts from the frontpage. Please let us know what you think.

Hi Mrs Bee,
Just a heads up….when I click on the classifieds or boards links, a “bbPress database error” shows up in the Wedding Bee banner and sponsors link.
the new features are nice, but its a little too much and clutter looking thats just me.
I like it! I never really went to the classifieds or boards except as an afterthought, but this makes me notice the other content available on the site and makes me more likely to visit it.
I love it. I honestly didn’t even REALIZE there was so much going on on the boards. But this is great.
It is a bit of a shock, but it ’s a great way to get the boards and classifieds in the spot light! Looks great!
I love it! I think it is great to have all the information on the main page that everyone is looking. It allows one to see what’s available at a quick glance!
O think it looks great! But there are some issues when I click on the classified for example… I see coding errors on the top of the page and the left side too 
It’s definitely a change, but I like it! I like being able to see the boards and classified from the home page.
like angel, i’ve also been getting the bbpress error on both the classified and boards.
Have you thought about making your outermost page margins smaller? With the new changes and my lame-o 14 inch laptop screen, the page looks off-centered and I have to scroll to the right. But I like the idea of seeing recent posts and classifieds - keep up the great work!
we’re still trying to fix the errors you guys see on the classified and boards page. when we upgraded our wordpress software, it messed up our left column unfortunately.

I was seeing the boards/classifieds on the right just fine at first, but now I am seeing that they, along with the ad, are being overlapped by the postings a bit and are somewhat cut off — is it just me?
Hey - thanks for the head’s up, Petunia. There’s a formatting issue in IE6 that we’re working on… it sounds similar to the one you mentioned, so I’m hoping you’re using Internet Explorer 6!
Mr. Bee — I am having the same issue as Miss Petunia — the blog posts are cutting off the board posts. I have IE, but not sure which version! HTH.
Thanks for the report - sounds like it’s almost certainly IE6! We should have the issue fixed in the next day or so…
I checked in the About section and it says I’m running 7.0.5700.6, which leads me to believe I’m running IE 7, no? =(
Ah thanks, you’re right - we made a tweak in an attempt to fix it, and it’s also impacting IE7. BIL Bee and I will try and fix it ASAP! If we can’t get to it during working hours, we’ll def dig into it tonight.
We’ve fixed the errors on Boards and Classifieds, and also fixed the IE layout issues. Please let us know if you see any other issues… Thanks!

is it just me, or is classifieds not working???
Classifieds is working for me. Is anybody seeing a specific problem with Classifieds that needs to be fixed?
The classifieds aren’t working for me either–not by the new links on the right nor by the tab. The message “Error on page” shows up in my status bar, and the page that displays is basically a blank Weddingbee template. If it helps, I’m using IE7.
I see, it’s a weird Javascript problem. I’ll fix it shortly, thanks for the detailed bug report, brendalynn!
