I have that bari jay dress. I bought it on a whim, but it fits nicely in person. I’m still looking for my actualy wedding dress.
I really like the eyelet dress. Hmm..
how does the sizing run on the barijay?
I don’t think there is any good reason why we should only wear white on the wedding day. I plan on wearing white dresses for all of my wedding, prewedding and postwedding activities. I even got Minnie Mouse ear veiled headband for my OOT Disneyland trip! Tehehee. Love, love, love the Bari Jay dress.
I found that CK swiss dot dress for a song at Marshall’s ($70), and used it for our beachy Save the Date photos. It’s a comfortable cotton summer dress too, so it’s great for any beach day.
“a” the sizing on the bari jay is tts (true to size) in my opinion. I got mine on ebay for 50 total. I still want to hit up David’s bridal to see the new simple dresses they have. If I don’t find anything I like, I might just wear the bari jay.

kandaceandjason - I don’t think it’s “typical” to wear a white dress to the rehearsal but I do find that some brides like to wear the white prior to wearing their “The White Dress” the day of their wedding. That being said, I think you can wear whatever you like and makes you happy =)
i totally bought that bari jay dress. it’s beautiful! i really hope it fits! if it doesn’t, i’ll just have to stuff my bra to make it fit!

That Bari Jay dress is my wedding dress which I was forced into having only to make my mother happy to take pictures of us (we married in court and no one could make it as we’re across the country). I really hate this stupid bridal mentality. What the hell do you need a big frilly dress for for the “big day” and to have that dress as your “rehearsal” dress. Why do you have to spend an extravant amount of money on a “big day”? This is really ridiculous people.

I personally want my “big day,” which includes a big dress, because of tradition. That part means a great deal to me. If you don’t share that feeling, you shouldn’t knock others who do.
