Elegant Children

October 10th, 2007 @ 3:55 pm by Mrs. Penguin

I’ve been wondering what to give to the “little ones” at our wedding to keep them busy and happy.

For the past six years or so, I’ve been exclusively purchasing all my baby gifts at The Elegant Child.

Its a posh baby gift site frequented by many Hollywood types, and the owner, Teri Weiss, runs her shop out of her home. I’ve visited many times when I lived in L.A. and everything she has is capital “F” Fabulous. She treats all her customers like they’re the most important people in the world, and her unique gifts never cease to amaze me.

We’ve been in a “baby lull” lately (Mama Penguin’s friends are getting too old to have children, my friends are still a bit young to have children) so I haven’t stopped by the website lately, but I decided to hop on the web today to discover…

Decorate your own Princess Mirror Kit $6Decorate your own Jewelery Box $14

Ballerina Dress Up $11

Make Your Own Sports Door Hanger $6Deluxe Stamp Set $16

…the list goes on! These AWESOME craft sets should keep your younger guests busy during your reception.Check out The Elegant Child’s extensive collection of unique baby and toddler gifts as well! Here’s my personal favorite:

Fantasy Flyer $305

Because, frankly, I don’t even know how you could possibly survive childhood without your own pink plane.

Teri the owner, is quite possibly, one of the most wonderful women in the world.

Cute Cute - Reminded me of another great product to entertain kids - and something they will love for years :) I want one and I’m almost 30!

Buddha Board Hard to describe - but it’s basically a slate set up easel style. There’s a paint brush - and water well. You paint with water to draw pics and write messages. As the board drys it disappears. You can create over and over again :) I’d think it’s best for 5+ year olds.

I would totally buy that plane for myself! Ha.

You picked a lot of “Melissa & Doug” toys which are awesome! I helped a friend shop for kids’ gifts and that’s all we picked out. They’re super safe and non toxic, yet fun and educational. Made me want to play with them myself…

i want the plane too. that would be fun.

some of this stuff you can pick up pretty cheaply at michaels or joann’s - the door hangers especially. just add some pens and sparkly stuff and you’re good to go with a craft table!
