hmmm i’ll start on my own post. 
i always like what thread and jenny yoo are doing, j crew has beautiful classics, but i always love bcbg dresses for versatility!
Price is no object - Kathlin Argiro
Best bang for buck - Bill Levkoff

Siri and Kathlin Argiro-although on the expensive side-almost all of these are wearable again.
Love love love Siri. Ours wound up only being $180 when ordered online instead of the $280 we found in a store. And it’s definitely something they can wear again.

Jasmine B2 and Belsoie. Fabulous customer service, great customization options, and reasonable pricing without tacking on extra charges for girls bigger than a size 16 or taller than 5′9″.
Melissa Sweet, Lazaro, Jenny Yoo and Bill Levkoff. We’re going with Bill Levkoff because it’s great quality for what you get!
Best bang for your buck: Watters and Watters, and then maybe Bill Levkoff (their color combos frustrate me though)
If I want to spend more then Melissa Sweet.
I can’t belive no one’s mentioned Aria! I heart them!
In general I say don’t go with a bridesmaid dress designer as there are better quality dresses at better prices to be found at most any department store
But but if I had to chose I would go with Siri for their classic designs and as the most practical/universally flattering (best MOB dresses too)
and
Little Flowers by Odyssey for unique designs and bright/cheerful colors.
Kimera. She has a little shop here in Brooklyn where she custom designs bridesmaids gowns for equal or less than what most mass made brands go for. The owner/designer is so sweet and flexible and will do anything to make sure you are happy. She even went out to look for a specific fabric for me since I didn’t want my girls in shantung silk (the fabric she normally uses). If you live in the NYC area, I highly recommend her. http://www.kimeradesign.com.

I like After 6 - the prices aren’t bad, and the dresses are really cute!
Simple Silhouettes, J.Crew and Ann Taylor. I love Jenny Yoo’s designs, but a friend of mine had a HORRIBLE time with them. For that much $$$ you’d expect top-notch service and quality.
I had my girls wear J.Crew and loved it. If money had been no object (the J.Crew dresses were on sale), we would have gone with Jenny Yoo. I also like Aria and, for that same reason, Kimera (see Carrie’s comment above). I’m partial to natural fabrics over poly-satin, which is what I’ve worn in two weddings in Bill Levkoff dresses.
