About Mrs. Strawberry

Our econfetti poppers were a huge success–the months of saving toilet paper rolls totally paid off. You think I’m kidding. Sadly, I am not. I saved hundreds of toilet paper rolls. As did my bridesmaids and my parents. And then there was the HUGE task of decorating each.

These were the prototypes.

For the wedding, they got placed in these pink vintage laundry baskets.

I wish you could see all the different stickers and buttons on them–cause they took a long time to do. We had many “craft nights” at our house in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Of course, beer made the time go by faster. It always does…

Those are really cute. Does the confetti actually “pop” out of them or do the guests unwrap one end and shake them?

How fun! Does eco-confetti dissolve?

This reminds me…there’s a teacher who jokingly talks about him and his wife saving up toilet paper rolls, so their students could do crafts at school. They’d get some pretty strange looks when they’d open their garage. :)

Your attention to detail is amazing. And I’m curious too….how do you DIY these?

I could have bought the stuff to make the
pop–but I was lazy. So just a little shaking. :) And yes, the eco-confetti does dissolve! :)

Angel- I’m a bad bee and not very good at step by step instructions with pictures. It was basically trial and error.

1. You cut a piece of tissue paper. (Not sure how much..that’s where the trial and error comes in.)
2. Tape one piece down, and wrap the rest of it around.
3. Place a sticker to hold the other side down. It will look like a little candy wrapper.
4. Tie off one end with ribbon.
5. Put a scoop of econfetti in.
6. Tie of the other side.
7. Decorate! :)

I’m horrible at this kind of stuff. Sorry! :(

Thanks!

And that’s okay…I’d still be wondering if I was supposed to wrap them in regular paper too.

That was a great idea. They came out really cute, I would have never thought to use toilet paper rolls.

Those are really cute! I was thinking I would just skip having anything to toss but I could sure do these on the cheap and they look so nice! May I ask where you bought the eco-confetti? Can you buy online?
