I actually went there twice to try on gowns, though I was unsuccessful. I love that you don’t need an appointment AND the staff there is amazing. They were extremely patient and most helpful! I highly recommend you stop by and check it out!

I highly recommend Glamour Closet as well. No appointment on a Saturday, I brought my mom and FMIL and the service was top notch. I got my *dream* dress (ivory silk organza Pronovias) for $800 ~65% off. Amazingly sample size fit nearly perfect. Anyway Bay Area brides must visit if only to try on super fancy dresses and not feel self concsious about it (i.e. Brial Galleria snobbery).

I have to disagree. I had a terrible experience at Glamour Closet. I went in so excited to try on dresses. But once the woman working there found out I didn’t have the budget for a $1,000 dress, she asked me not to try any gowns on (”because other women have to try them on”–mind you, I was the only woman in there at the time), and when I said I’d like to come back once their inventory turned over a little, she said “We only work with designers whose dresses cost $1,000 or more.” I was pretty shocked. Now granted, that vendor may have been having a bad day, but I wouldn’t recommend GC to a friend, that’s for sure.

thanks, miss cherry blossom! i’ll be going today to curb my attraction to boutiques outside my budget
