The Morning That Changed My Life…

October 18th, 2007 @ 3:03 pm by Mrs. Jelly Beans

The guys and girls got ready at the Minto Suite Hotel in downtown Ottawa. We checked in Friday night at 11:30 PM after a long day of finalizing details, getting manis and pedis, last minute dash to purchase my sparkly clutch, arguing about pillows, paying vendors, tent walk through, attending the rehearsal, hosting the rehearsal dinner, transporting the candy buffet and hanging Christmas lights in August. Phew!

We had scheduled an early start for the girls- 8:00 AM, according to the wedding timeline, and surprisingly everyone was right smack on time. Gotta love them! We had champagne, baked goodies, donuts and pizza, contributed by the guys of course. My girls were kind enough to avoid any last minute stain emergencies, preventing what could have been a possible bridezilla moment. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

We had a blast getting ready! We had 2 make up artists and 2 hair stylists working feverishly on everyone in my suite. This was definitely one of the best decisions I had made. It was really nice to be able to relax and enjoy being pampered in the hotel instead of running all around town getting our hair and make up done.

It took us all the way through 1:00 PM to get everyone beautified. The guys on the other hand were done by 10:30 AM. Lucky them! At one point the photographer made them all undress to dress for photos. Too cute! :)

But enough with the babbling and on with the show…

i LOVE that bill levkoff’s BM dress! the only problem is that i don’t really like their pink options. i’m not loving the berry and was looking for pics of that dress in pink and berry and came across yours. do u have other pictures with your bridesmaids in their dresses that you can share with me? what colors are their bouquets? i didn’t realized picking out the BM dresses can be this stressful…

Hi Jen,

I think I have more bridesmaids pics with their bouquets and stuff… email me and I will send them to you. I purchased them through netbride and they were able to send me samples of the different shades of pink if thats something you were looking for! :)

If you go to http://www.marrymeproductions.ca, she posted pictures of me and my bridesmaids on her homepage with their dresses and bouquets. Just wait till all the images load, its one of them. :)

Miss Jelly Beans says:

Jen- their bouquets were a mix of white and different shades of pink, similar to my bouquet. I used the excess material to cover the bouquet handles.

Good luck!!! No worries we all went through the same thing! Your girls are lucky you care about how they will look. :)

Thanks so much for responding! I had called so many bridal shop looking for that dress in pink or berry to see what it looks like but they only had chocolate or champagne. They showed me the color swatch but it’s so hard to tell what it would look like from a small piece of fabric.

You have no idea how excited I was when I saw your blog with the dress in pink and berry. I would really love to see some more pictures of your wedding with the bridesmaids. The link u posted doesn’t work. My email address is b3lli3@yahoo.com.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures! Thanks so much for your help!
