All Alone Again

October 23rd, 2007 @ 12:34 pm by Mrs. Snow Pea

Mr. Snow Pea took my wedding band back to the jeweler because the ring I received originally didn’t look like what we had discussed. After wearing it for a week, I finally told Mr. Snow Pea to take it back because it just didn’t feel right to wear something forever that I didn’t like. We’ve been married 2 months and I still don’t have a wedding band. People come up to me asking me to see it and sadly I have to tell them, I still have no wedding band.

A few weeks ago, the jeweler sent us some CAD renderings and it just looks worse in my opinion. I just want an all new band.

It’s been so long, now I am confused as to what it is I wanted. So I have begun browsing Pricescope and Bluenile for diamond prices and wedding band settings. Here are 2 options that would still be in our price range using the credit from the other band.

A Pave Band with round diamonds (picture from BlueNile)

I am highly considering this type of band with 3 or 5 stones in it, each 0.25 carats or less and radiant shaped like my engagement ring. I have a small finger so I think 3 diamonds would be enough. Frankly, I don’t even care anymore. I just want a weddind band! (picture from BlueNile)

Anyone else having wedding band dilemmas? Did you get so confused with something during your wedding planning that you just aren’t sure what you want anymore?

ive heard that w 3-5 stone rings the diamnds always slip around to the palm side of your hand…an argument for diamonds all the way around?

my FI’s ring was way too big for him so we went back to get it resized and they gave us another ring. How do I know it’s a different ring? The engraving was GONE!

I now have to trek back there to get the engraving done on Thursday so it gets engraved before the we GET married this Saturday! Ugggh…

Go to a random jeweler and have fun playing around — what’s most important is what looks good with your existing ring — just try them on!

Both are so pretty! I think the second would work better with your e-ring.

i like the first one better, but i think it depends on what your e-ring looks like.

i’m having SUCH troubles with my own e-ring! we’re in the process of designing it and for some reason we just can’t get it to look right. it’s so disheartening — and probably much more so with your wedding band! so sorry… =( but your alternatives are lovely!

Oh boy, did I have trouble picking a wedding ring! I am terrible at making decisions, but once they’re made, I’m fine. :)

I like both but the second one better!

I love the look of the first, but I heard it can be difficult to adjust the size of the band if you have diamonds all around, which is why i’d almost rather get the second.

I definitely think 5 not three will be best. I like the look that they cover the top of your finger and three won’t do it.

what do you guys think of the film “blood diamond”?

The second one looks better with your engagement ring. I agree with the suggestion to go into a lot of stores and try on different bands with your engagement ring.
