Mrs. Tulip's Picture
Mrs. Tulip, DC Age and Occupation: 36, Retired Fiance's Age and Occupation: 33, Counsel/DOO for Small Gov't Contractor Engagement Date: August 8, 2007 Wedding Date: March, 2008 Venue: Still Looking! About Me: In all my dreams of the man I'd someday marry, I never pictured anyone as perfect for me as Mr. Tulip. So now we just have to make it through the craziness of the wedding and the moving in together! I love crafts, sewing, jewelry making, and photography, so am looking forward to this chance for DIY fun. When not wedding planning, I'm playing with our dog and 4 cats, Ebay shopping, or watching too much TV (often simultaneously!).

Oh, How I Love A Bargain

October 23rd, 2007 @ 12:18 pm by Mrs. Tulip

Looking for a red guestbook, scrapbook, and/or photo album? Get thee to a Borders, stat! I picked up this beauty for $2.99 in their bargain book section:

Oct_19_032

It’s 12″ x 12″ and acid-free, supposedly proven to protect your photos for 200 years. The inside pages are matte black. And, of course, you can switch out the photo in the front cover. (Though I’m rather fond of it, as it looks an awful lot like our beloved Sheltie!) Not bad for $2.99, eh?

I guess I didn’t wait long enough. I picked the same scrapbook at my local borders for $5! Still a great deal though. :)

Now I just need to start working on it!

It always cracks me up to see claims like this. I’m sure this is a quality product, but how can it be “proven” to protect pictures for 200 years? Photography hasn’t even been around 200 years :) We see this with new printers too. “Prints proven to last 100 years”. lol.

What a great bargain though- $2.99- wow.
