WoW Vows

October 24th, 2007 @ 1:18 pm by Mrs. Petunia

Hey Weddingbee readers: Mr. Petunia here!

Normally us guys don’t get as excited about wedding planning as you ladies do, but I’ve found a way for us to become more involved: a World of Warcraft wedding!

I first went out and bought Miss Petunia a virtual ring from a vendor in the Exodar. (It came as no surprise that she said Yes!). Now we needed a location for our celebration, and what better place than the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind? Then I got a local guildie tailor to make our threads. Finally, since Miss Petunia is always hassling me to go on a cruise with her, we took off for our honeymoon from the largest seaport in all of Azeroth: Booty Bay. (It’s no Carnival Cruise Lines, but we did get to share our dinner with a quaint goblin captain).

To see all the details, check out the slide show cataloguing all our adventures on the home page of http://haroo.guildlaunch.com/.

Too funny. I’m the non-geek stuck in a programmer world. I hear about WoW constantly from co-workers. I’m more of a tetris/bejeweled gamer :)

OMG! What server do you guys guys play on? I didn’t think anyone on weddingbee would appreciate the wonder that is WoW. My fiance got me into playing a year after we started dating and I’ve been happily playing for a couple of years. Was raiding Horde and this summer rerolled Alliance.

LOL I love it! I’ve been secretly harboring that idea since way back in the days of Dark Age of Camelot. :)

That is too cute. I also play WoW with my finance. He got me into it, soon after we started dating. We joked around about having our wow characters as the cake topper, but our wedding will be WoW free. We have some friends who met through WoW and ended up getting married this year. He actually proposed to her in game.

Alaina says:

My fiance got me into WoW and I’ve been playing ever since (around 2 years now).. It’s great for a long-distance relationship.. it lets us spend time together without spending too much money.

We play on Mal’Ganis, Alliance.

I always love finding out about closet WoW players… especially the girls!

That is so cute! Thankfully my hubby and I never got into World of WarCrack. We know ourselves too well. Thought we’d be smart and not start playing. Your post once again confirms our smart choice cuz really we have no willpower with certain things. Whew :)
