Playing With Textures

Our photographer Nicole Polk was featured on Trash the Dress! She created a separate portfolio of photos that she texturized by adding her own lighting effects and patterns, along with textures created by Jesh de Rox. Here are just a few before and after shots from our session:

Wow-your photographs are beautiful! I love the textured effect, it makes your pictures seem almost ghost like. With the setting you took your pictures in, it just ties in so well! Love them! :-)

I like it! I’m not sure texturing would work for all photos, but given the location of your shoot and the mood of the scene it works!

Nicole did a fabulous job- but it couldn’t have been too hard with a beautiful set of models to work with. Great shots!

Frankly don’t like the “after” pictures. Many of the before ones are better. The background already made the pictures look so dramatic.

sphbride,

I think that both sets are quite beautiful and dramatic, I think the texturized photos give a different mood and expression. You really can’t compare the before and after shots because they are so different in style.

If I didn’t have the befores to compare with, I would say they were really cool pictures. However, between the two, I think I would prefer the befores. Definitely a cool effect though. :-)

The texture effect is beautiful. But I don’t think the texture effect worked well with some of the photos. Some of them became washed out and lost focus on the subject.
