I Heart Purses

November 4th, 2007 @ 10:28 am by Mrs. Flamingo

A while back I was reading Weddingbee and I came across a post about this particular purse. There has always been a debate over having a handbag on your big day. I know that it’s not necessary and the money could go to something better and more useful, but being an accessories junkie, I had to have one. I heart purses and this one was so perfect.

I ordered it off ebay and it cost me 30$ shipping included. It’s more than what I thought I would pay, especially it being an ebay item. The quality is very nice and the gems aren’t like the cheap dollar store looking ones. So overall - it’s a good purchase. To top things off… my new favorite clutch matches perfectly with my peep toe grey satin shoes.

And you… are you an accessories junkie??? Did you splurge on the little extras?

Well, I do love accessories, but I am pretty low maintenance, so I rarely use them. I figured I would get a nice purse on my wedding day, but it just became a pain in the neck. Basically, it became and accessory for my DOC since she ended up carrying it around everywhere :)

I love the idea of purses for the bride. I am getting married in the downtown area and want to straight from the reception to the hotel with no car, so girls gonna need a purse.

Besides, I carry large purses in ordinary life, I can’t carry anything a book won’t fit into. So this is my only chance to buy something like this:

it’s totally worth the price, especially if you can use it for other occasions as well!

I love accessories as well. I think I spent about $30 for my wedding day purse too, which I thought was pretty reasonable. And it was really nice to have it to store my lip gloss, extra bobby pins and some blotting papers :)

I think buying a “bridal” purse is yet another marketing scheme to get brides to overspend.

I just bought a lovely champagne satin clutch for about $9.99 from Target and it was perfect. It carried my lipstick, a compact, my cell phone, hotel key, some money, and a hankie. I kinda needed to have a bag for all that stuff.

I will be all about the accessories when the big day comes, both for me and my bridesmaids. Unlike the dress, you can wear your wedding day purse, shoes, jewels and whatever over and over again. Everytime you do, it will remind you of your day. This purse is adorable and I would wear it anywhere. I hope you do too!

I am a self-professed accesories junkie. I also work in the accessories design industry, so I cannot help but bring home every sparklie bit or bob I come across.

I think this bag is lovely. It’s making me re-think the brown satin accessories and crinoline that I was originally intending on wearing. Great find!

[...] I have many items that I could possibly sell (because I would most likely never wear or use them again), like my wedding dress, birdcage veil, table runners and silk clutch. [...]
