Mr. Magnolia and I had a shower on Saturday morning… a tailgate shower. We’re football season-ticket holders for the University of Georgia, so we really don’t have “free weekends” during the fall… and neither do most of our friends! My fabulous bridesmaids decided that the best way to get everyone together in celebration of the Magnolias was to bring the party to us! We set up at our typical tailgate spot on the beautiful UGA North Campus, and they took care of everything else!

They sent out a terrific invitation incorporating one of our engagement pictures…

…and there was enough food for an army, including two breakfast casseroles, homemade salsa, fried chicken, and pastries brought fresh from New Orleans! There also *may* have been a brief instance where a couple of my friends reverted back to the crazy college mindset and attempted keg stands.

Yes, I know. Moving on…

We also came up with a solution to the problem of lugging shower gifts onto/off of campus (parking close by can be quite a feat!). Gift cards! The Mr. and I recently bought a new house, and so the requested gift for Saturday was a Home Depot gift card! Can I just say that we made out like bandits? We have so many projects that we want to tackle at the house, and the generosity of our friends and family will go a long way toward helping us out!

All in all, we had a fantastic time…plus, the Dawgs won! Woo hoo!
