Another Gocco Project

November 6th, 2007 @ 2:43 pm by Mrs. Peppermint

When Mr. P & I decided to get the Gocco (or shall I say: when I convinced him that I needed to have a Gocco), I promised that I would use it all the time. And since I’m a girl of my word, I just HAD to find another excuse.Meet my bridesmaids luncheon invites:

They were super easy to make. I simply used the Gocco approved pen that came with it to make a design that fit on a single screen. I’m pretty happy with the results. To cute it up a little, I bought some fancy paper at Paper Source that I cut into envelope liners.

Here they are, ready to be mailed… At the post office, however, I was told they needed an extra 17 cents (plus the 39 cents I had already put on) because they were square envelopes–has that happened to anyone else? Postage these days!)

SO cute! I know, its such a bummer about the square envelopes huh? But if it makes you feel any better, its been this way with square envelopes (extra postage) since the beginning of time :(

I love the cupcakes! So cute!
All these Gocco projects make me really want to buy one… I’ve resisted for so long, but I think I might have to cave. :)

Soooo cute! You are so talented Miss Peppermint. Yeah~ I wanted to do square envelopes at first, then I found out about the postage too.

Oh la la, very cute! Did you have to get the big horned sheep extra postage? I made adorable (and square) invites for my sister’s bridal shower and then had to add some big ugly sheep stamps to the front. It was so sad :(

Very cute.
I have had postage issues. When I mailed my wedding invitations, because they were longer and I addressed them across the short width as opposed to the long width my postage cost shot up to $0.98 each! I had 150 invitations to send out. Needless to say I was not happy. If I had addressed them across the long width, it would have been around $0.50 each. Not a huge amount of money, but I almost lost it at the post office. I had already ordered custom stamps and now had to find extra postage to cram on the envelope.

Yup I think it’s because they have to process them by hand or something. Super cute!
