About Mrs. Licorice

Random Nothings

November 7th, 2007 @ 11:56 am by Mrs. Licorice

When I created my inspiration board, it felt somewhat scattered. Being totally scatterbrained myself, I made a second board that helped me pull my wedding elements into a focused “event design.”

First one:

Second one:

It’s still eclectic, but not so much all over the place I think.

My wedding images came in this package:

The shimmery pinkness made me smile. :)

I actually tried to make one of these last night. It was very scattered, to say the least! I think it’ll be interesting to see how it evolves over the planning process. Thanks for posting yours.

Would you mind so much sending me the picture you have for the bouquet on your first inspiration board? I have tried searching the site you listen….but to no avail. I would really appreciate! :)

I tried this once before too and totally crashed and burned at it. The board was totally scattered and nothing matched (since my of my pictures are the right shape or idea but the wrong colors). So a few days ago I went back to the drawing board with the idea that it wasn’t so much supposed to show things I was actually going to “do” so much as it needed to give off the “feel” of the event. So, I started drawing all kinds of images that gave me the same “feel” as what I wanted the wedding to have. It came out really nicely and I’m excited to be able to use it when talking with rental places and such. Thanks for showing yours, they are both beautiful!

Sorry, I’m a wedding novice and I don’t get it. =( What do you mean your images came in that package? Are those your photos?

L, I was wondering the same thing.

I took a look back at all the e-photos I collected that inspired our look and it kind of looked all over the place too. My second set of pictures was much better since I had a better idea of what we had to work with.

Great post! Could you tell me where you found the image of the black & white invitation on your inspiration board? I have been looking for something like that!
