About Mrs. Cherry Blossom

It’s been a crazy few weeks for me - hence the huge lack of posts - my bad. Tons of stress and things coming at me at the same time. When things have cooled, I’ll slowly make my transition back in and update you on the bajillion things going on.

Anyhoot, on a whim, I started making templates for our invitations. Mr.CB and I recently went to check out paper at Paper Source. We were able to agree on the different papers and color schemes we wanted to use for our two weddings, and so it kicked my ass into high gear (especially since I recently had a personal meltdown with myself that time is a ticking ~ and I’ve been sailing… on lazy.) Although our invites won’t be mailed out ’til next year, say another four months, it’ll pay off that I started now to make my life easier later, since I have so many ideas in my head.

One of the templates I created were for our RSVP’s which are pretty simple, soft cream, luxe card with bare motifs. I was contemplating how I’d number them so that I’d know which guest(s) it came back from discreetly. Then jackpot, I came across a fabulous steal that I just have to share!

i lovey! i wanted to do this after i saw another bride do the same. maybe mrs. bop with her awesome invitation package? but the in-cap pen light is ingenious!

oddly enough, miss strawberry posted about this at the exact same time last year (her post is in today’s one year ago in fact!)

but the built in blacklight - now that’s nifty.

Some couples will number the cards so they know what numbers have come back (it’s a little easier than digging through names, especially for larger weddings). This is a great way to do that descretely since all you have to do is flash the little light over the number on the RSVP card.

it’s also helpful when people send the rsvp back and forget to write their names — don’t laugh, it happens.

As someone who had a guest RSVP for 12 to show, with “family” written to the side as if that made it okay (jokingly, we figured out later it was cousin Chase), I HIGHLY recommend numbering your RSVP’s. We didn’t know it was Chase, as he’d written an alias name on the line. ;-) We also didn’t designate the number of spots. So, if we’d at least secretly numbered, we could have caught him before he came to us. ;-)

Seems like a great idea!
