Could Your Wedding Make You Famous?

November 12th, 2007 @ 3:35 pm by Mrs. Emerald

Well, you just never know!! I previously posted my friend Amy’s wedding video footage because it was insanely great. Apparently the folks at Canon thought so too! Amy and her hubby Alex are now exclusively featured in a commercial for the Canon Rebel XTi, airing in Canada during major primetime slots (primetime = during Grey’s Anatomy, CSI, House, Prison Break, etc!!)! Check out the commercial on her videographer’s blog.

Has your wedding given you (or someone you know) some unexpected exposure? My dream was always to be featured in a wedding mag, but I think this could be one of the coolest stories ever!!

Okay, I cried…that is some amazing videography and how cool to be in a commercial!

I wanted to be in a wedding magazine too, but I missed the deadline (having too much fun being married I suppose).

I always thought that an amazing proposal would get covereage. Anyone see the video where the guy proposes in the middle of the stage play “My Fair Lady”?

Because we were a July 7, 2007 (777) couple, we were featured in an article in our local paper–which is actually a big one–but we just consider it a fun keepsake.

Kim, the song in the commercial is “We’re Man and Wife” by Michelle Featherstone

Kim — The song from the commercial is “We Are Man and Wife” by Michelle Featherstone. I loved it too and googled the lyrics right away! What a sweet song for a wedding video or slide show. You can hear it on her MySpace page:

It looks like you can actually buy the piano sheet music for the song there too!

We’ve heard that quite a few times, hehe. Yes, we’re a real couple. I don’t know what it is about us that makes us look ‘fake’ but we better work on that ;) Thank you for all the comments and to Charlene for feeling this was weddingbee-worthy news!! :)

I love all the songs on the video clips on lookeschvideo. Do you know the song names especially the photo session video…”you have stolen my heart”???

29.
Out of Towner says:

Hi yeehaa - that’s our wedding! hehe. The song is called ‘Stolen’ by Dashboard Confessions. I actually found the song while looking through Scott Robert’s website.

Out of Towner -

Thanks for replying. I love your wedding so much! Do you mind giving me a bit more details. What instrumental song was with the “highlights” video clip? What song did the wedding party walk in for the reception and did you go straight to your slow song? Your wedding was just amazing! I hope I will see your commercial tonight while watching Greg’s Anatomy. Thanks again.

31.
Out of Towner says:

Hi yeehaa - sure, here’s the info:
The highlights song was ‘Tennesee’ from the Pearl Harbor soundtrack.
The wedding party walked into ‘Love is in the Air’ from the Strictly Ballroom soundtrack and we did go straight into our first dance after walking into ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ by Stevie Wonder. Good luck with planning!! Some friends in Toronto have started calling me the Canon girl. I love it, how cute!

yeehaa says:

Thank you so much, Out of Towner!
