Lady Picture Show*

November 19th, 2007 @ 5:23 pm by Mrs. Pumpkin

My wedding dress problems have been well documented on Weddingbee but I was fairly happy with how it all turned out in the end. My dress, my MOH’s dress and my Mom’s dress all came from a wonderful shop in Regina called NWL. I can’t say enough great things about NWL and it’s owner Nadia Williamson - she was so fantastic throughout my whole wedding dress fiasco and her shop has the most unique dresses in Regina.

My MOH’s dress was exactly what I wanted and we bought it off the rack for $50! My mom’s dress was not quite as easy but when we finally figured out what we wanted, we went to see Nadia and she ordered in the perfect dress for us. Finally, when I went to Nadia with my original dress, she knew that it was not right and gave me a fantastic deal on a new dress and veil. Her personalized service is unparalleled in the wedding dress shops in Regina and as I said, she carries dresses that no one else in Regina has. I would (and do!) recommend NWL to everyone! A+++

Now, some pics of me and my MOH in our dresses throughout the day:

A little gangsta attitude from my MOH:

And, my bouquet!

My bouquet, my MOH’s bouquet and the men’s boutonnieres were from Costco! I absolutely loved my bouquet - it was exactly what I wanted and the white ribbon around the stems was perfect. I thought the flowers were excellent quality and the price was phenomenal! I was also impressed with the service - they were the only vendor who called me to confirm the order the day before we were to pick them up! A+

Next up: The Men and their attire!

Can you tell me more about ordering flowers from Costco? Did you order the bouquets from their store or from the web? Did you buy the flowers and assemble yourself, or did Costco assemble them for you? I am considering Costco as an affordable flower vender.

C-girl,
As I said I had such a great experience with Costco! Flowers weren’t really a high priority for me, I had an idea of what I wanted and the colour had to be pink but other than that I really didn’t care what kind of flowers they were so Costco was perfect for me.

I ordered in the store and they just had one kind of bouquet but in 4 different colours (red, pink, white and yellow). They are all made of primarily roses with some other smaller flowers thrown in for a little spice and then a little greenery around the edge. The bouquets come assembled and you have a choice of white or ivory ribbon to be tied around the stems. They secure the ribbon with pearl headed stick pins and tie the ends in a bow.

The Bride bouquet was 12 roses for $59.99 and the bridesmaid bouquet was 6 roses for $39.99 and it also had ribbon on the stems. The boutineers were $12 for 2 I think and they were beautiful big roses but tight ones, you’ll see in my next post on the boys attire. I truly would recommend them to anyone! Good luck!
