50% Off Snapfish Photo Books!

November 25th, 2007 @ 3:08 pm by Mrs. Onion

Just in time for the holidays, you can get 50% off on 5×7 Snapfish photo books. Offer expires November 30, 2007. Just enter coupon code PHOTOBOOK07 and the book will be $5.99 (used to be $11.99). I made a Snapfish photo book of our engagement photos for my mother and this is a perfect size for a “brag book” for your mother and mother-in-law to carry in her purse.

PS. We recently got our professional photo proofs on-line so as soon as I get a disc in the mail, I’ll be ready to share all the wonderful details of our wedding with you all — I can’t wait!

Another wonderful holiday idea is to gather all your photographs. I tried this myself, but it was too much work and time. Family Free Magazine has a profile on scanmyphotos.com and we bought a prepaid box. Get this; 1870 pictures scanned to dvd for just $99.95. This included all shipping charges. Just as promised, we placed the order and actually received the prepaid box the next day. The next part took a few days, to gather all the photos. But, after packing it in the box it was mailed off and we got it back 3 days later, all ready for watching.

They also have specials on their photo books from the scanned pictures, but have not tried that yet.

Miss Daffodil,

Just for kicks I put one together myself to see if it would be worth getting. Maybe this info will help some other people too!

The book that is discounted is a 5×7 size as previously stated. It comes with 20 pages plus a cover. You can purchase additional pages (a front and back) for $1.49 each.

On each page, you have the ability to choose between different backgrounds, borders, and page layouts - anywhere from 1 to 9 photos per page, depending on the layout you choose. Obviously the fewer images per page means each one will be larger.

So just for entering the code you automatically get 50% off the price of each book (before shipping, which is very reasonable.) But it gets better! I decided I was going to give each set of our parents one of these books as part of their Christmas gifts. Imagine my surprise when I saw a note that each additional copy of the book gets another 25% off! And yes, it does let you do both discounts at once.

So for my three photobooks, plus standard shipping to me, my final total is $21.20!!!

My only word of caution is to remember that these books are 5×7 in size. Go find something at your home that IS 5×7 to give you an idea. Putting 9 images on a single page seems like a good idea to maximize the number of images you can include, but they’ll wind up being thumbnails when all is said and done. If you can stick to 20 5×7s, then this would be a great way to go. Otherwise, it might be best to look at larger photobooks.

HTH!

miss onion- as miss daffodil asked, how do you like the quality of the book and the photos?

generally i love snapfish photos compared to other online photo retailers (the prints always look amazing) , but i read not so good reviews from a post elsewhere. ~_~’;

the only issue i had with the photo books was the hardcover warped a little bit. i wouldn’t make a keepsake large wedding album, but for our engagement photos and for little brag books that will be knocked around in a purse, for $5.99 you can’t go wrong!

kandanceandjason — thanks for the tip about the additional discounts for more than one book — i totally forgot about that! i was buying a book for my mother and when i saw the extra 25% off i bought one for us as well (had forgotten that).

I’ve used snapfish for ages…. for whatever reason the last few purchases have gotten lost in the mail & snapfish has had to resend the order. My advice- just go with the fedex delievery. That’s what I’ve had to start doing.
