How The Bubblegum Stole Christmas?

November 25th, 2007 @ 12:02 pm by Mrs. Bubblegum

Maybe “borrowed” is a better word??

In the wake of Black Friday, and on the crest of Cyber Monday, most people are focusing on holiday shopping. I, however, as usual, just can’t stop thinking about the wedding. As it turns out, one of my wedding colors is red, so Christmas sales are making me giddy! Here’s what I’ve bought so far:

6 - 8″ red hurricane candle holders (to be used as vases), $6.74 a piece at Kohl’s:

2 - red baskets, $4.99 and $6.99 (kitten not included) at the Christmas Tree Shops:

2 - red galvanized buckets, $11.88 a piece at Walmart:

How are you taking advantage of holiday sales to benefit your wedding??

One of my colors is red as well and I was able to pick up several vases, etc. But the best part about Black Friday for me was finding pearl necklaces for each of my bridesmaids at $15 each! Granted, I had to be at Macy’s at 5:30 in the morning, but it was totally worth it.

I really like your red vases from Kohl’s. I may have to go pick up a few at the after Christmas sales.

Ooh, that’s awesome you’re finding good deals. I really like those tubs from Wal*Mart!

I’ve been taking advantage of holiday sparkle! Many Christmas decorations aren’t really Christmas specific, they’re just really sparkly, which fits into weddings year round!
I would also suggest everyone hits up the after Christmas sales…white, gold, and silver ribbon, branches, all sorts of wedding-esque things will be 75% off or more just because they’re labeled Christmas. I hit up major post Halloween sales for my October wedding next year…I got almost all my paper wear, bridesmaid gifts, buckets, and foliage for around $200.

I got my 8 bridesmaids gold pashminas at a steal - I’d been stressing about what to get them, and now I’m taken care of, and they get a great takeaway!
