On this week after Thanksgiving, I must give great thanks for our photographer Ricardo Serpa of Lux Images. I can’t begin to tell everyone what an amazing and fun time we had shooting our e-pics at the county fair last week! And Ricardo worked some fast magic and processed some of these images basically overnight so that Mr. Petunia’s eyes and mine had something to feast on over Thanksgiving (sorry I haven’t been able to post until today!).Hope you love them as much as we do: here they are, without further fan”fair”:
We got super lucky in that the fair was basically empty while we were there: getting the place to ourselves was such a treat (and let us capture some great pictures, I think)!
I must say that when I first saw the pictures, though I loved them, I thought: but wait! I paid to have my makeup done and you can’t really tell! And wait! I paid to get my hair done and I’ve got strands of it flying all over the place! But hey, I guess you just can’t control your hair in your face when you are spinning round and round. Truth be told, the best thing about these, to us, is how they truly capture how silly, fun and in love Mr. Petunia and I are — and that’s why we chose Ricardo: because we knew he’d capture that, on these pictures, and on our wedding day, too.

I love these “fun location” shots. Mr. M and I went to a mini-golf park and it was a lot of fun with all the ‘free props’ at our disposal.

Oh Miss Petunia, these are wonderful! I especially love the ones where you’re laughing - and really, I think that the emotions captured throughout are remarkable. May I also just say that I’m a roller coaster freak and I would give anything for a picture of me and my sweetie in a roller coaster - but I don’t think I’ll ever convince him to even get ON a roller coaster! How did your photog get that picture anyway? Congratulations on some awesome e-pics!
I don’t see hair or makeup…I see a couple in love and having a great time. These pictures look like a blast! I love the one of you kissing at the booth.

Wow. Your engagement pictures might be the best ones I’ve seen so far!!! They are AMAZING. You look like you’re having so much fun in every picture and the photographer really captures all the emotion. I bet your wedding pics will be great!

Oh I love them. What fun and bold colors! In that last picture, it looks like Mr. Petunia is harnessing his psychic powers.

Ribbit — the top is from Anthropologie: I literally found it like a day before the shoot. I also got the most adorable little jacket from there, but Mr. Petunia didn’t care for it too much himself, and he got lucky that it was too warm in So. Fla. that night for me to wear it. (For shame! It was so darling!).
Miss Lovebird: That man is a trooper! Not only was he not afraid to get on with his camera and take pictures while riding that thing - he switched lenses in the middle of the ride, too! Poor man, he was a bit sick after it! (I could NOT have done it).
ChicagoSarah: I think the picture you think is on a roller coaster is on that viking/pirate ship kinda ride? It worked ou perfectly because half the ride faces the other half and the fair was SO empty we were the ONLY people on the ride!
