I’m In Love With…

PAPER SOURCE!!!

I can spend a whole day at that store. The smell of brand new paper is awesome!! Love it!! Paper source is a crafter’s paradise in my book.

One of my bridesmaid’s bridal shower was back in May, and I volunteered to take care of the invites since I wouldn’t be able to celebrate with her.  I love how they turned out!

Here are the directions:

1. Print the invitation information on a 8.5″ x 11″ sheet. You will be able to print 4 per sheet. Remember that the top 1″ on the invite will be tucked into the invitation backing, so plan your text accordingly. The measurements of the final printed invite came out to 4″ x 5.75″.

2. After all the information has been typed and formatted correctly, I cut out the vellum to the same exact measurement.

3. Next, to add another dimension of color, I decided to do envelope liners. You can use all sort of papers. For this assignment, I used some polka dot wrapping paper and scrapbooking paper that went along with the theme. To do the liners, trace the template onto the paper and cut. Slip it inside the envelope and you got yourself a liner. I used double sided tape along the edges so it would stick on the envelope.

The final result… DUN..DUN..DUN…

1. Here are the envelopes with the different liners I used.

2 Here are the invitations closed.

3. And here are the invitations open.

4. This is how the final invite looked like. Each guest received a different liner and ribbon.

5. Materials I used

Red A2 envelopes
Red A2 matchbook
White leaves Flat Vellum
Cream Cardstock
A2 envelope liner
Paper cutter
Ruler
Scissors
Bonefolder
Double Sided Tape

So cute! I’m in love with the envelope liners! I made red Paper Source invites for my sister’s bridal shower this past summer! I REALLY wish there was a Paper Source near me…I have to do all my shopping online. :(

My first trip to Paper Source, I spent ten bucks.

Which sounds great, until I tell you I got three pieces of paper.

I just have a question about envelope liners… how do you close the envelope so that when people open the invite they actually see the liner. do you just fasten the tip of the envelope so that they don’t just cut open the top, then they will completely miss the liner.
Please help
