Programs Galore!

November 28th, 2007 @ 3:24 pm by Mrs. Peppermint

Since Mr. Peppermint & I received an espresso machine off our registry (!), we’ve had boundless energy to stay up all hours and Gocco the night away. The programs, perhaps, have been my favorite project to date!

At first we weren’t even sure if we needed programs–neither of our parents had them for their wedding and didn’t see why we needed them. This meant that Mr. Peppermint and I knew that we had to be economical about it. We decided to do them on a single sheet of paper (despite my love of the many beautiful booklets I’ve seen!!). We bought paper from paper source and began making them… they took about two nights (double sided and since we have the smaller Gocco PG5, we needed to do at least 2 screens per side), and it was surprisingly fun and therapeutic!

Here are some of them drying (they took over half our apartment!):

And here is what the program looks like (front on the left, back side is on the right):

What are the dimensions of your programs? We have been working on them, but I can’t seem to fidn any dimensions that look right.

I think these are great! I’m looking into doing something similar but with stamp of a leaf. I think they’re nice, clean and sweet.

Liz - thanks! The dimensions were 3 7/8 x 9 1/4 (3.875 x 9.25 inches). I got them from paper-source and they were “# 10 flat card”

where do you found your images? i am convinced that not all graphic designers can draw phenomenally, and that their must be book or cdrom resources that they use but i can’t find any! i’m looking for images of blackberries :(
