Sibling Love!

November 30th, 2007 @ 9:27 am by Mrs. Gummi Bear

Originally, we hadn’t planned on having a ring bearer or a flower girl - neither of us had any nieces or nephews, nor did we know any children… or do we? It completely slipped my mind that my best friend from elementary school had two adorable, well behaved, awesome kids! So one phone call later, we decided that her son would pull his sister up the aisle in a radio flyer!

We dropped off the radio flyer at my floral designer’s studio a week before the wedding, and again, said “go for it!” with very little direction. She did a beautiful job with the garlands and the whole bottom was full of a wonderful natural green moss.

Actually, the above was from the trial run where he pulled with all his might, calling on the strength of the Hulk, and… failed. So after some thoughts, we decided it was probably best that my friend pull her daughter up the aisle after him.

Regardless, it was still absolutely adorable! I’m really happy they got to be a part of the wedding, I would have really missed out not to be able to have two of the cutest kids ever as my ring bearer and flower girl!

And it just so happened that it was also my friend’s birthday. After helping so much and allowing me to have her children take part in the wedding, I didn’t want to just ignore that it was her day too! I arranged for them to bring her out dessert with a candle and for everyone to sing happy birthday to her.

She thought I had forgotten, psh!

That’s so sweet and adorable! I love the first picture of his face close up especially.
And I love how all the parasols the guests are holding looks in the photos! I’m planning on doing that too.

So cute! And your friend’s dress is gorgeous…any idea where she got it from?

That is so cute. We just realize that our ring bearer and my friend’s daughter’s birthday is on the same day as our wedding. We are planning to have the servers bring them out a cupcake with a candle on it as well.

What cute kids! I love his little hairstyle. You can tell he’s going to be a heart breaker some day, haha!

How precious! My friend’s program had a ring bearer, and a bearer of the ring bearer. We were so confused until the itty bitty blob in a itty bitty tux was carried down the aisle by his mom. He was sleeping, but yet still holding onto a little pillow. It was too cute for words!

Then when his sisters came down, one of them was too afraid so the other one got frustrated and said “COME ON!” and dragged her down. Both totally forgot about the petals.

It seems too boring for things to go perfectly right!

those kids are too adorable. i especially like the first picture of the ringbearer. oh, how cute.

granted, as much as i enjoy the kids i don’t really feel the pull to include them in my wedding, even though i do have plenty of nieces and a play nephew to pick from. i doubt the 11 year old nephew would be amused by the irony in him being the ring bearer. lol.

my friend’s dress? I have no idea, actually - we hadn’t known she would be pulling the wagon until that morning. Lucky for us, she’s just a gorgeous, fashionable mom!

angel: the pillow is a nest that our floral designer made, it’s full of flowers and just has a cute ribbon with pins holding the rings on.

chickadee: that boy is already a heart breaker! He’s going to be a serious cutey when he grows up!!!

tea: that photo is such a glamour shot! Mr. GB and I didn’t either until the idea of having those two kids and that wagon came to him. All of a sudden, he was going to die without them being a part of it!
