After deciding to upload all our wedding pics to flickr, instead of actually doing more of the thank you cards (shame on me!), I finally have all of our pictures. I still have a few hundred from my dad and other guests, but these will have to do for now.
First of all, looking through all these pictures while Mr. Kiwi watched the USC/UCLA game, I realized how incredibly blessed I am to have been able to marry him. I know, all ladies say how lucky they are, but somehow I think it was a bit of a miracle that I happened to find him. Like I’ve mentioned many times before, we dated ten years ago, and lasted only a few months. After a slew of ridiculous boyfriends and bad dates, I searched for him - and it took me years to finally track him down. You always hear about the one who got away, but it’s rare to hear about that “one” coming back. This is why I think it was a bit of serendipity that we managed to make it to our wedding day.
Now, to the pictures. The following pictures are from the ceremony, with a few posed shots.
The church before anyone came.

Our florist was amazing, she managed to cajole the priest into letting us place a ton of (fabric) petals along the aisle and at the altar.

Mr. Kiwi’s mom, escorted by her brother.

My mom, escorted by my cousin. Our photographer was mad because my mom jetted down that aisle.

Our ring bearer and flower girl. Our flower girl had a flower wand, which was easy to hold, and something to keep her entertained while the boring stuff went on. Our ring bearer held the to have/to hold orb, which we have lost. ![]()

My matron of honor, and the best man, Mr. Kiwi’s brother and sister. There was no flash allowed in the church, and for a 9:30am ceremony, it was quite dark.

My dad and I make our entrance.

The backs of us

Mr. Kiwi’s face. Look at all those petals!

Our hands, with my borrowed bracelet.
Mr. Kiwi and I walked to the altar.
A shot of the cover of our program. We had designed it all at home, with the sole intent to print them all at home. Well, Friday morning it was just too much, so we took them to kinkos.

You can see the back of the programs here.

Now, there are various ceremony shots. I don’t really remember much of it.
Us at the altar.

Us seated, from far away.

Seated, but up close, with our kickass altar arrangements. I loved our flowers.
Our readers, my cousin and Mr. Kiwi’s aunt.
Mr. K’s aunt.

My cousin the fidgeter.

I’m not paying attention.

He’s asking us what we love about the other person, and if we felt that at first sight. I commented, “Not really.” And when asked why, I replied, “Well, he was wearing a purple shirt!”

Me answering.

The reading of the homily.

Us sneaking a moment before the serious stuff begins.

The vows begin.

The rings are collected. Mr. Kiwi’s tie was crooked, and it was driving me insane.

Check out his reaction! The crowd had pretty much the same reaction.

Now, the rings are exhanged

His ring

The sign of peace, where we go down and hug the parents and say, “Peace be with you.”

We go back up the the altar, and are blessed…

And we’re announced as husband and wife.

Now we’re leaving

Leaving, from the back. I loved my train.

Going right, as the coordinator told us to go.

And that was the ceremony!
A few posed pics.

Our wedding party

My parents

Mr. K’s family

And finally, to show you what a relief it was to be done.

And that’s our ceremony!
