About Mrs. Toucan

What A Coinkydink!

December 3rd, 2007 @ 1:09 pm by Mrs. Toucan

As it turns out, not only will we be married in the same church Mr. Toucan’s parents were married, our wedding date is pretty special too!

Above is a copy of Mr. Toucan’s great grandparents’ wedding announcement which was printed in The New York Times the day after they were married in June, 1917.

91 years later, Mr. Toucan and I will wed on the same day.

Does your wedding date have any special significance?

*Special thanks to Mr. Toucan’s dad for finding this :)

How sweet. Ours nothing that special. For us it will be the day after our sixth year annivarsay of dating. Because our anniversary falls on a Friday and I was bluntly told by the other powers that be that it had to be on a saturday.

I do genealogy for my family, and I love it when I come across these kind of finds.

Your wedding is also fun with those play on numbers, too! 6-7-8!

My grandmother’s birthday is our wedding day - which when I set it, I didn’t even realize. She must be watching out for us from above!

Our wedding day is the day before my Mom’s birthday. I’m thinking of throwing her a surprise birthday brunch the morning after our wedding, since all those nearest and dearest to us will be in one place, and it’s one more reason to celebrate!
