Mr. Violet and I were looking foward to our cruise for so many months and now with a blink of an eye, our honeymoon is over and we’re back home. So sad, but we came home with many great memories and that’s what matters. We experienced the magic of every moment.
Sam wanted to come with us but alas, we had to leave her at home. I was a very sad momma!
This was our third cruise and by far our favorite. It was the first time travelling on the Royal Caribbean - Freedom of the Seas. The ship is huge! We felt like we were on a floating city. There was plenty to do, tons of food to eat and also time to rest.

Our Junior Suite - we originally booked a regular suite but when we told them that we were going on our honeymoon, we got upgraded!
Mr. Violet surprised me with a romance package - spa robes, chocolate covered strawberries, champagne & beautiful roses. It was really sweet of him and a perfect way to start our voyage.

There were way too many photos to take of just the cruise itself so I will not be showing those, but if you are interested in the Freedom of the Seas, make sure you check out this website. It’s a very well written and thorough review of the ship.
I only climbed once during the entire trip.. and sadly I didn’t make it all the way to the top, but Mr. Violet did.

Ooohh, this looks like fun! That is something we haven’t done together yet - a cruise - and I am looking forward to it!! (I’ve gone on one before but Mr.E hasnt)

Love it!!!! We’re doing a two week cruise on Holland America for Christmas and New Years. Can’t wait! I hope ours will be as nice as yours!

Awe thanks everyone! I wish I was still there, but I was majorly homesick.. and I missed my dog a lot!
As for the dress I wore on one of the formal nights… quite honestly I was super uncomfortable the whole time. I didn’t realize it would be so revealing (It was a JCrew dress for goodness sakes!) but Mr. Violet loved it and that was all that mattered!
dddd89- she’s a mutt of sorts, part akita and golden retriever or lab.. we think.
LauraB - I’m so jealous! We want to do a 14 day cruise too and I’ve heard great things about Holland America. You’re going to have a blast!
Tea - Yes it was so bad, we swung by the bakery many times!

I wish we’d gone on a cruise now. Our HM was relaxing, but there wasn’t enough to do. And the shot you took of your suite that showed the football on the t.v.? I’m so jealous! (We had to watch games in an open-air central living room type thing at our resort, so we all watched what the general consensus wanted to watch all the time. Which was usually a game we wanted to watch, but still…annoying!)
How’d you like your RC cruise? I went on the Western Caribbean one this past August, and loved it. And, I love how food was readily available at all times (day & night) and was included in our package.

Faith - Mr. Violet had the Indian food and Mac n Cheese. He loved it!
And yes, Mr. Violet was thrilled to watch football in our room.
Annie - We loved RC. We went on the Western Caribbean as well. My next post will include our ports of call. Yes, it was way too easy to eat whenever and however much we wanted. I’m eating healthy for a while now.
Oh My Gosh!! I’m going on Liberty of the Seas in July for our honeymoon!! We’re so excited since the FI has never been out of the country and we’ve both never cruised before. Crossing our fingers for an upgrade! 
Melissa K - I suggest that you call them up to confirm your reservation. Make sure they know that it’s your honeymoon. I don’t know if upgrades are common but it doesn’t hurt to call and ask if they don’t automatically offer it. We might have just gotten lucky!

From what I understand, upgrades really aren’t that common since so many people go on cruises to celebrate special occasions (honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.). I’ve been reading up on them on the boards on http://www.cruisecritic.com, and they really aren’t common. So, woohoo! Extra bonus!
We’ll be sailing on Freedom of the Seas for our HM in January and can’t wait! Half of the bridal party will be joining us as well. It’ll be a blast!
