Mr. Caramel thought up the phrase “a glimpse,” and that’s what we had engraved on our bands. “A glimpse” meaning (what we believe) is like a glimpse of what our marriage with God is like, or what a taste of heaven or true unity in heaven is really like. Or “a glimpse” meaning a tiny fraction of what our love is like compared to God’s true love. There are many explanations of this phrase, but I like that there are so many depths to it.

Do you have a picture of your two rings together? I have an engagement ring similar to yours and I am searching high and low for a wedding band that looks pretty with it and doesn’t make the e-ring look less nice.

What a perfect phrase to engrave! We too are so thankful for this “glimpse” at how much God loves us and the “dim reflection” of Christ’s relationship with the church. What a blessing!

I love that idea! I really like how it allows you to have a constant reminder of God in your marriage…not that you need a ring engraving in order to be reminded of Him, but if people ask what “a glimpse” means, I love what you can share. Wonderful idea. I’m going to have to share this post with FI!
