Leafy Votive Follow-Up

December 6th, 2007 @ 9:29 am by Mrs. Toucan

Awhile ago, I wrote about the leafy votive candle holders I made for my co-worker, Samantha’s wedding. Sam and I both agreed with most of your comments about how the simpler option (no bow or knot) looked the best. After all, sometimes less is more!

Anyway, I thought you all might want to see the final product! Here’s how they looked all lit up on the tables:

Samantha opted for non-floral centerpieces, and instead used framed pictures of her and her husband growing up to help decorate the tables. I think the simpleness of the framed pictures in the ring of candles is rather striking, and a great (as well as cost-saving!) alternative to the typical floral centerpiece!

Those are so beautiful! That definitely gives me an interesting idea as I’m on the lookout for gold votives for our tables. Maybe using gold leaves could be an idea?

And I love the framed pictures idea– so intimate and I bet all the guests loved going from table to table to see all the pictures.

I love the framed photos idea. It’s cost saving and original. The leafy votives are a nice touch - good work!

If anyone is interested, check out these merry go round frames.. super cute. A friend of mine is using these for all her tables.
